    Abstract: Example systems, methods, computer-readable media, and apparatuses for dynamic provisioning of wireless devices with health gateways are disclosed. One example method includes detecting, by a wireless device, a signal from a health gateway, the signal including connection information and service information; determining whether the health gateway is a suitable based on the connection information and the service information; and in response to determining that the health gateway is suitable, establishing a communications connection with the health gateway.

    Abstract: Techniques provided herein are directed toward accurately determining when an item is removed from a blister pack by utilizing capacitive sensors. The capacitive sensors may be positioned on each blister of the blister and may detect the presence of the skin of the finger and/or the whether the blister has been deformed, which can occur when an item is removed from the blister. Some embodiments may determine whether skin was detected at the time of extraction to determine whether extraction was intentional.

    Abstract: Disclosed are hypodermic needle devices with a dose dispensing mechanism and methods of using those hypodermic needle devices. The dose dispensing mechanism, which may be an electronically-controlled pump, may be used to measure out a specific dosage amount of a drug while compensating for environmental factors, such as temperature and pressure. This allows the device to be used by patients for self-administration since a specific dosage amount of the drug may be precisely delivered regardless of the environmental conditions at the time of delivery. The specific dosage amount may be set using the device or remotely, and a fingerprint sensor may be used to prevent injecting the drug into the wrong patient.

    Abstract: Disclosed are hypodermic needle devices having an easily-observed, visual indication that the drug contents of the device have expired. The visual indication may be triggered when a counter maintained by a processor of the hypodermic needle device has exceeded a time threshold. The time threshold may be configured based on the drug threshold, and the counter and time threshold may be manually or dynamically adjusted as real-world conditions change to alter the time to expiration. For instance, a prolonged increase in temperature detected by the temperature sensor may speed up the expiration rate of the drug and require a reduction in the time threshold.

    Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for providing a drug-dispensing device that tracks temperatures to which a drug stored therein is exposed, further providing means for indicating to a user that the drug has been exposed to temperatures outside a suitable temperature range and/or preventing the drug from being dispensed in such cases.     Abstract: Some examples of the disclosure include a Bluetooth Low Energy controller that includes a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor can be monitored periodically to determine the ambient temperature. When the ambient temperature reaches a temperature threshold or lower that impacts battery performance, the operation of the mobile device may be restricted by increasing the advertising interval or stopping advertising and configuring the mobile device to operate in a low power state until the ambient temperature exceeds the temperature threshold. In this way, the advertisement intervals would be dependent on the ambient temperature of the device.
