    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for establishment and maintenance of edge data network services. A user equipment (UE) may register one or more application clients for edge services at an edge application server. In order to maintain edge application servers that are continuing to be used by the UE, an edge enabler server at the edge data network, an edge enabler client at the UE, or both, may initiate a timer that is used to confirm the edge application server is continuing to be used. Such techniques may help prevent resources from being consumed after the edge services are no longer needed, such as after the UE no longer needs the edge services or the UE has moved outside of an area associated with the edge services.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that provide for configuration of edge data networks based on current and projected future locations of a user equipment (UE). The UE may provide one or more expected future locations based on routing information of the UE, a polygon associated with one or more current or future UE locations, a waypoint set of the UE, and the like. Based on the provided one or more future locations, the edge data network may provide to the UE one or more edge data network configurations for different UE locations. As the UE moves to different locations, different edge data network configurations may be used, thereby enhancing efficiency of UE operation in the edge data network.

    Abstract: An example client device for accessing data from a plurality of edge application servers (EASs) includes one or more processors configured to receive data representing a bundle identifier (ID) for a bundle of EASs from an application service provider (ASP); send a request including the bundle ID to an edge configuration server (ECS); in response to the request, receive information representing the EASs in the bundle from the ECS; in response to the information representing each of the EASs, send one or more EAS discovery requests to one or more edge enabler servers (EESs); in response to the one or more EAS discovery requests, receive information for communicating with one or more of the EASs from the one or more EESs; and initiate the application data traffic session between the AC of the UE device and the one or more of the EASs in the bundle of EASs.

    Abstract: Various aspects enable the configuration of Reliable Delivery Service (RDS) destination ports to provide for multiplexing of multiple simultaneous connections over a single non-Internet Protocol (non-IP) data delivery (NIDD) data call by an Internet of Things (IoT) device.     Abstract: Device wakeups can consume a significant amount of power with respect to the device's total power battery lifetime. Aspects of a method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium are presented herein that provide a solution to the problem of battery strain by improving the manner in which a wireless device coordinates device wakeup for multiple applications or multiple operations. An apparatus receives a wakeup time interval from each of a plurality of applications. The apparatus forms a first device wakeup time interval, the first device wakeup time interval including overlapping wakeup time intervals for the plurality of applications. The apparatus schedules a device wakeup during at least the first device wakeup time interval.

    Abstract: Various aspects include methods for supporting remote Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) profile provisioning that may be performed by a Lightweight Machine-to-Machine (LwM2M) server and LwM2M client computing devices, such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices. A LwM2M server may generate a remote SIM provisioning object for the LwM2M client computing device indicating that the SIM profile update for the LwM2M client computing device is available, and send the remote SIM provisioning object to the LwM2M client computing device. A LwM2M client computing device may receive a remote Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) provisioning object from a LwM2M server indicating that a SIM profile update for the LwM2M client computing device is available, and download the SIM profile update in response to receiving the remote SIM provisioning object.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for wireless communication. In one aspect of the disclosure, a user equipment (UE) is configured to transmit, when area information of the UE matches area information of a service, a request to register with a local area data network (LADN). The UE is further configured to transmit, when the area information matches LADN service area information corresponding to the LADN, a request to establish a protocol data unit (PDU) session for the service. In another aspect, a UE is configured to send a request for LADN information to a network entity. The request includes an application identifier or a service identifier. The UE is further configured to receive, from the network entity, a response indicating a LADN and an area associated with the LADN, and communicate with the LADN based on the indicated area.
