Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive input to perform a manual public land mobile network (M-PLMN) search of a radio access terminal in a default search mode or a modified search mode, wherein the input is triggered on at least one subscriber identity module (SIM) of the user equipment, and perform the M-PLMN search in the default search mode or modified search mode based on the received input. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to a method of wireless communication at a user equipment (UE). The method includes receiving a set of one or more transmissions in an assigned bandwidth part (BWP) of a set of bandwidth parts (BWPs) from a base station (BS), wherein the set of one or more transmissions includes data addressed to the UE; after missing a reception of a second set of one or more transmissions from the BS following the set, receiving a third set of one or more transmissions in the assigned BWP from the BS, wherein the third set does not include data addressed to the UE; and determining whether a fourth set of one or more transmissions from the BS in one or more unassigned BWPs of the set of BWPs includes data addressed to the UE in response to the third set not including data addressed to the UE.
Abstract:
The disclosure generally relates to an approach that can be used to hide and/or display incoming messages and/or related notifications on a user interface based on one or more factors related to confidentiality or sensitivity. More particularly, in response to a user equipment (UE) receiving an incoming message, the UE may determine whether the incoming message is secured or unsecured based at least in part on a sender identifier. The UE may display a notification regarding the incoming message on a user interface with the content of the incoming message hidden if the incoming message is secured. The UE may subsequently display the content of the incoming message on the user interface in response to receiving an authentic biometric input targeting the notification.
Abstract:
Aspects relate to mechanisms for wireless communication device to transmit indications of channel qualities for uplink and downlink transmission involving multi-subscriber identification module (MSIM) devices. A user equipment (UE) having a first subscription and a second subscription is provided. The UE identifies one or more base-band resource outage periods associated with the first subscription based on a utilization of at least partially shared base-band resources by the second subscription. The UE also transmits one or more medium access control (MAC) control elements (MAC-CEs) to a base station requesting a modification of one or more data transmission timing parameters of one or more data elements associated with the first subscription based on the one or more base-band resource outage periods associated with the first subscription.
Abstract:
Aspects of mitigating throughput degradation during wireless communication include determining that a first transmission signal fails decoding at a network entity due to transmit (TX) blanking when a user equipment (UE) supports dual subscriber identity module dual active (DSDA) and is operating in hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) with incremental redundancy; determining whether a first retransmission signal for the first transmission signal fails decoding at the network entity; and retransmitting the first transmission signal as a new transmission signal when a determination is made that the first retransmission signal for the first transmission signal fails decoding at the network entity.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a technique for signaling user equipment (UE) assistance information (UAI) indicating a preferred set of connected discontinuous reception (CDRX) parameters, a start offset, and/or a slot offset to a network entity. For example, a UE signals the UAI when operating in a dual connectivity mode involving a new radio (NR) and a long term evolution (LTE). The UE signals the UAI via a new information element (IE). The UE receives a new set of CDRX parameters from the network entity based on the UAI. The UE uses the new set of CDRX parameters for a CDRX operation.
Abstract:
Display of the time remaining to the next scheduled alarm at the status bar on the display screen of the mobile device, may be helpful to the user to plan ahead for the event the alarm is set for. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a user equipment including a display, at least one processor and a memory coupled to the at least one processor. The processor determines one or more existing alarms in the mobile device, and a corresponding alarm set time for each existing alarm of the one or more existing alarms. The processor determines a time remaining to a next existing alarm of the one or more existing alarms. The processor configures a display screen status bar to show on the status bar, the determined time remaining to the next existing alarm.
