Abstract:
Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate selection of feedback mechanisms. For example, ultra-reliable low latency communication systems may benefit from properly formatted extended/super hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment feedback. A method caninclude transmitting data of one or more downlink hybrid automatic repeat request processes to a user equipment. The method can also include receiving hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment information from the user equipment containing a first set of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment information and a second set of hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgment information.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of handling transfer and reception of user plane and control plane data directly between UEs are generally described. A data transfer procedure is described that includes variables, constants and timers for a tSL-HL transmit entity and updating of the variables to handle and track data transfer. The procedure includes assignment and maintenance of SDU SNs during transmission and retransmission, as well as buffering and monitoring of the transfer status of each SDU and PDU and an associated HARQ process. Data reception procedures described for both user and control plane data include reception of the PDU from a lower layer, storage of the PDU and combination of PDUs in a buffer.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and device for two-hop packet transmission. The method implemented at a relay device for two-hop packet transmission comprises: at a radio link control (RLC) sub-layer of a radio link layer (L2): obtaining status information of second hop RLC transmission of the two-hop packet transmission; and transmitting the status information to a transmitting device in first hop RLC transmission of the two-hop packet transmission for the transmitting device to control the first hop RLC transmission based on the status information. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, an effective solution for L2 relay performed at an RLC sub-layer can be provided.
Abstract:
A method for assisting link adaptation of a downlink between a eNB (101) and a User Equipment (103) in an LTE system operating in unlicensed spectrum which is subject to intermittent interference, relies on the UE sending to the eNB additional information included in channel quality indicator (CQI) reports notifying the eNB of the duty cycle of the interferer. Based on the information contained in this modified CQI report the eNB can choose to use a higher order modulation coding scheme (MCS) which will provide a higher throughput but will necessitate frequent retransmissions or a lower order MCS which will not require frequent retransmissions but will have the disadvantage of a lower throughput.
Abstract:
Apparatus and Method for handling the configuration of bundle sizes in communications involving the transmission and/or reception of more than one bundle in a transmission and/or reception attempt A method in a wireless network node for handling the configuration of bundle sizes in communications involving the transmission and/or reception of more than one bundle in a transmission and/or reception attempt, comprises the step of initiating the use of a first bundle size for communicating with a wireless device during an initial transmission and/or an initial reception, the first bundle size comprising a first number of repetitions. The method comprises initiating the use of at least a second bundle size for communicating with the wireless device during at least one retransmission and/or subsequent reception associated, respectively, with the initial transmission and/or initial reception, wherein the at least second bundle size comprises a smaller number of repetitions compared to the first bundle size.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, devices, and apparatus including evolved node B (eNB) or user equipment (UE) for machine-type communications (MTC) with narrowband deployment are described. One embodiment includes control circuitry configured to determine a super-frame structure, where the super-frame structure is set, at least in part, on a bandwidth of the narrowband deployment, with a plurality of downlink physical channels areas multiplexed as part of a first downlink super-frame of the super-frame structure. Such an embodiment may include communication circuitry configured to transmit the first downlink super-frame comprising the plurality of multiplexed downlink physical channels, receive a plurality of uplink physical channels, and receive, in response to transmission of the first downlink super-frame, a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) acknowledgement (ACK) or negative acknowledgement (NACK).
Abstract:
Aspects of the present disclosure can improve the round trip time delay of reverse link transmissions of an access terminal. The access terminal determines a first traffic-to-pilot power (T2P) ratio after a session negotiation. Then, the access terminal determines a second T2P ratio of a first subpacket of a physical layer packet, wherein the second T2P ratio may be boosted relative to the first T2P ratio. The access terminal transmits the at least one subpacket at the second T2P ratio utilizing a reverse link. Therefore, the physical layer packet may be early terminated, and round trip time delay of the reverse link may be reduced.
