Abstract: A neuro-muscular stimulator for automatic stimulation of pelvic floor muscles to relieve stress incontinence comprises an adhesive electrode (8) for application to the exterior of the perineum and a power supply unit (1) connected to the electrode. A second electrode (9) is provided on the power supply unit which is adapted to be secured to the leg of a wearer in a manner which automatically places the second electrode into electrical contact with the leg of the wearer. The power supply unit operates automatically to supply spaced apart packets of stimulation pulses to the electrodes. Preferably, the power supply unit is switchable to provide pulses of alternative frequency and is adjustable to provide user selected pulse amplitude.

Abstract: A packaging container particularly suitable for retail sale of pre-prepared foodstuffs comprises an inner generally cup-like portion (2) located substantially entirely within an outer portion (3). The inner portion is formed of a microwave compatible plastics material and is retained within the outer portion e.g. by flaps (12) formed integrally with the outer portion which engage barbs provided on the inner portion. The air gap provided between the inner and outer portions prevents the outer portion from being heated by contact with the food product and accordingly the container can readily be handled after microwave heating of the contents.

Abstract: A method of impregnating tissues with an aromatic product comprises packing the tissues in a substantially sealed container together with a quantity of a volatile liquid form of the aromatic product, the volatile liquid being contained on an absorbent base which is separated from the tissues by means of a film which prevents the flow of liquid from the base to the tissues but permits the evaporation of the volatile liquid to liberate the aromatic products for absorption by the tissues. Preferably, the base is located in an envelope formed of the film whereby the film and base together form a sachet. In the case where the container is a cylinder and the tissues take the form of an open-centred roll the sachet is preferably located within the open centre of the roll.
