    Abstract: A mould 3.020 has a heating layer 3.022 formed on at least a portion of its cavity surface. The heating element is a resistive layer 4.030, preferably formed using nanotechnology techniques. An insulating layer 5.036 isolates the resistive layer from the mould surface. Electrodes 4.032, 4.034 are provided for establishing electrical connexion with an electrical power source. This device enables more precise control of heating of the mould charge than the bulk heating of the mould.
