The image processing apparatus includes: a depth estimation unit for estimating the depth of an inputted 3D image; a text area detection unit for detecting a text area included in the 3D image; a mask generation unit for generating a text mask corresponding to the detected text area; and a depth correction unit for correcting the depth of the text area on the basis of the estimated depth and the generated text mask.
Abstract:
A method for providing a service by a transparent internet cache (TIC) server in a communication network supporting a multipath transport control protocol (MPTCP) is provided. The method includes establishing an MPTCP connection with a user equipment (UE) and an original server through a first network, upon receiving a service provision request from the UE, releasing the MPTCP connection established among the TIC server, the UE, and the original server if data related to a service corresponding to the service provision request is cached, and providing the service corresponding to the service provision request to the UE.
Abstract:
A method for converting an image in an image conversion apparatus is provided. The method includes receiving a stereo image, down-scaling the stereo image, performing stereo-matching by applying adaptive weight to the down-scaled stereo images, generating a depth map according to the stereo-matching, up-scaling the depth map by referring to an input image of original resolution, and generating a plurality of multi-view images by performing depth-image-based rendering with respect to the up-scaled depth map and the input image of original resolution. Accordingly, a plurality of multi-view images may be obtained with ease.
Abstract:
An image processing method is disclosed. The image processing method of the present invention includes: shifting an object displayed in a reference image according to depth information; determining a stretching area of a variable size by using an energy value of a background area of the shifted object; and generating a target image by inserting a pixel of the stretching area in a hole area generated by shifting the object. Accordingly, an image quality deterioration phenomenon may be prevented.
