A method and an apparatus for effective data sharing between users in a cloud computing system are provided. The cloud computing system includes a first cloud hub and a User Equipment (UE). The first cloud hub provides a cloud service to a UE connected by a public cloud access and provides a cloud service to a UE connected to a public personal cloud system installed by a service provider, and is installed by a user. The UE subscribes to the first cloud hub as a main cloud and inquires as to data stored in the first cloud hub.

A method and an apparatus for providing a Quality of Service (QoS)-based service in a wireless communication system are provided. The method includes providing a Mobile Station (MS) with at least one QoS plan indicating a price policy for a QoS acceleration service having a higher QoS than a default QoS designated for a user of the MS in response to a request from the MS, providing the MS with an authorized token and a QoS quota based on a selected QoS plan in response to a purchase request of the MS, providing the MS with service contents selected by the user through a radio bearer for the QoS acceleration service, notifying the MS, if a usage of the QoS acceleration service reaches a threshold, of an impending expiration of the QoS acceleration service, and notifying the MS of the expiration of the QoS acceleration service.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for transmitting data in a wireless communication network. A base station having information of idle mode user equipment transmits a connecting operation mode to user equipment when the idle mode user equipment is connected to the base station. The user equipment transmits small-sized data together with a connection request completion message to the base station. The base station transmits, over a network, the data received from the user equipment, without being interlinked with a mobility management entity, and the user equipment returns back to an idle operation mode after data transmission. Thus, signaling the base station for acquiring context information of the user equipment can be reduced in order to provide the user equipment with an efficient data transmission environment.

An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method in which an MME suspends a local IP access (LIPA) PDN connection in a long term evolution (LTE) system even when UE having an LIPA PDN connection uses CS fallback (CSFB) for receiving/transmitting voice communication in the LTE system, so that the UE may continuously use the LIPA PDN connection even after the CSFB voice communication ends. To this end, an embodiment of the present invention proposes a method for acquiring, from a domain name server (DNS), a decision on whether to support a local gateway (L-GW) suspend function to enable an MME to suspend an LIPA PDN connection upon occurrence of CSFB, a method for acquiring the decision through H(e)NB, and a method for acquiring the decision directly from L-GW.

A system is provided for managing mobility of an Access Terminal (AT) in a Proxy Mobile Internet Protocol (PMIP) communication system. As the AT performs a handoff, a target Signaling Radio Network Controller (SRNC) delivers session information of the AT, acquired from a source SRNC of a source network, to a target Access Network (AN). An Authentication, Authorization and Accounting server (AAA) performs an AT access authentication process. Then, a target Access Gateway (AGW) performs a proxy registration procedure, with the target AN, and receives, from the AT, a message indicating a need to establish an interface with the HA. A Home Agent (HA) performs mobility management for the AT, receives a message for requesting proxy registration for mobility management for the AT, sends an access request message to the AAA, receives an access accept message, and sends a response message for proxy registration to the target AGW.

Disclosed is a method for performing call setup in a mobile communication system having a base station for serving a mobile station , and a mobile switching center for controlling the base station. At the onset of entry of a recipient's phone number, the mobile station transmits an origination message to the base station, and the base station responds to the origination message from the mobile station, and assigns wireless channels to the mobile station. The mobile station transmits to the base station an origination continuation message, if assignment of the wireless channels is completed and receiving of the recipient's phone number is completed. Upon receiving the origination continuation message, the base station requests the mobile switching center to perform call setup in a wired section.

A method and apparatus for setting up an UpLink common bearer shared by a plurality of User Equipments (UEs) in a wireless communication network is provided. The apparatus includes a Serving GateWay (S-GW) for receiving a group identifier of a UE from a Mobility Management Entity (MME), sending a create bearer request message including the group identifier to a Packet Data Network (PDN) GateWay (P-GW), receiving a create bearer response message including UL common S5 bearer information (UL common S5 info) for a group corresponding to the group identifier from the P-GW, and sending a create bearer response message including UL common S1 bearer information (UL common S1 info) to the MME, and the P-GW for receiving the create bearer request message from the S-GW, and generating and sending the create bearer response message including the UL common S5 info.

The present invention relates to an area-based access control method for terminals in a wireless communication system, and particularly, to an area-based access control method for terminals which carry out M2M communications and which have no mobility. The present invention provides a dynamic area-based access control method using the concept of a representative terminal and a group, thus eliminating the inconvenience of the user having to passively update an allowed list.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for establishing communication between a plurality of communication devices and a communication network using a single subscription is provided. The method receives a first request from a second communication device to get a subscription identity and capabilities of subscription for accessing the communication network using subscription of the first communication device. The method then sends the first request to a Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) associated with the first communication device. Thereafter, the method receives a response from the USIM including subscription identity, access protection keys and capabilities of the subscription. Then the method generates unique key for the second communication device based on the response received from the USIM. The method then sends the response along with the generated unique key to the second communication device to establish communication between the second communication device and the communication network using the subscription of first communication device.

A system is provided that provides a voice call service over a Circuit Switching (CS) domain to a User Equipment (UE) that was receiving a service in a Packet Switching (PS) domain. A Mobile Management Entity (MME) sends a paging message to the UE to provide a service in the CS domain. The MME sends a suspend request message requesting suspension of the service being provided to the UE in the PS domain, upon receiving a report message indicating that the UE has switched to the CS domain. A gateway suspends the service in the PS domain upon receiving the suspend request message from the MME.
