Abstract:
A method and apparatus for controlling transmit power of a User Equipment (UE) in a mobile communication system is provided. The transmit power control method of the present invention includes determining, when the terminal's required transmit power exceeds the terminal's maximum transmit power, whether a plurality of Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest (HARQ) processes are running and reducing, when the plurality of HARQ processes are running, a transmit power of at least one of the plurality of HARQ processes which has not experienced transmit power reduction previously. The UE transmit power control method and apparatus of the present invention is advantageous to control the transmit power in transmit power reduction mode.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for efficiently transmitting or reporting a Power Headroom Report (PHR) of a User Equipment (UE) are provided. The method of transmitting the PHR of the UE in a mobile communication system includes configuring an extended PHR including an indicator corresponding to a variation factor of a maximum transmission power of the UE, and transmitting the extended PHR from the UE to a Base Station (BS). The BS may be notified of a maximum transmission power of the UE and a variation factor corresponding to the maximum transmission power in order to enable efficient scheduling.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for efficiently controlling inter-cell interference power in a wireless communication system. According to the present invention, a measurement method to be performed by a terminal in a wireless communication system comprises the following steps: receiving, from a base station, an RRC connection reestablishment message containing pattern information for measuring a serving cell or an adjacent cell; measuring, for an object to be measured indicated by said RRC reestablishment message, the serving cell or adjacent cell using the pattern information; and reporting the result of the measurement to the base station.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for reporting Power Headroom (PH) of a User Equipment (UE) per carrier efficiently in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation are provided. The method includes calculating PHs for multiple activated carriers based on whether data channel transmission takes place on each carrier, configuring indicators indicating whether the data channel transmission takes place on the corresponding carriers, and transmitting the PHs and indicators as aggregated in an extended PH Report (PHR) on one of the carriers.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for configuring Power Headroom Report (PHR) of a User Equipment (UE) efficiently in a mobile communication system supporting carrier aggregation are provided. The method includes generating a header including a LCID for identifying extended PHR and L indicating a length of the extended PHR, and inserting Power Headrooms (PHs) of multiple activated carriers into the extended PHR of one of the carriers.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for efficiently configuring information during a process in which a terminal records channel measurement information in a mobile communication system. Disclosed is an operation of a terminal for accurately indicating to a base station whether or not a serving cell or neighbor cells are measured in configuring channel measurement information. In addition, disclosed is a method in which a terminal adjusts the frequency of recording in consideration of the importance of the measured information.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for a user equipment receiving MBMS service processing a semi-permanent scheduling from an MBSFN subframe. A method for a user equipment receiving the multimedia broadcast multicast service (MBMS) processing a downlink scheduling in a mobile communication system of the present invention comprises: a detection step of detecting the occurrence of the downlink scheduling in a random transmission time interval; a decision step of deciding whether to process the downlink scheduling, depending on whether the user equipment is set to a transmission mode 9 or whether the transmission time interval belongs to a multimedia broadcast multicast service single frequency network (MBSFN) subframe; and a processing step of processing or disregarding the downlink scheduling based on the result of the decision.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for transmitting/receiving data, and a method for a user equipment transmitting data, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises: a step of determining conditions for determining whether a condition for transmitting short data is satisfied, when data to be transmitted is generated; and a step of including the data to be transmitted in a radio resource control (RRC) connection setup completion message and transmitting same, when the condition for transmitting the short data is satisfied. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the problem of network overload can be prevented by reducing signaling overhead when processing small packets, which are generated intermittently, in the mobile communication system, and an apparatus and a method for enhancing battery performance in the user equipment can be effectively provided.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for receiving data in a User Equipment (UE) supporting a Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) are provided. A method of receiving data by a UE which supports an MBMS includes obtaining first indication information indicating a Multicast/Broadcast over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) subframe reserved for an MBSFN, obtaining second indication information indicating a subframe in the MBSFN subframe, the subframe decoding a Physical Multicast CHannel (PMCH), and when although a first subframe is indicated as the MBSFN subframe, the first subframe is not indicated to decode a PMCH and is not of a subframe for a Positioning Reference Signal (PRS), receiving a Physical Downlink Control CHannel (PDCCH) of the first subframe and decoding a corresponding Physical Downlink Shared CHannel (PDSCH).
Abstract:
A User Equipment (UE) category handling method and an apparatus for handling late version UE category attached to an early release version network in a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system are provided. A communication method includes transmitting a terminal capability report message including multiple terminal categories, receiving a Radio Resource Control (RRC) connection reconfiguration message including a terminal category to be used by the terminal according to serving base station of the terminal, and communicating with the network using the terminal category received from the network. The UE category handling method and apparatus of the present invention allows the UE to report a network-adaptive UE category, thereby avoiding soft buffer problem caused by version information mismatch and facilitating communication with the network without malfunctioning.
