Abstract:
A rotor positioning device (113) in a crusher (1) for adjusting a rotational position of a rotor shaft (6). A shaft engager (105) includes a female toothed mating surface (120) for coaxial engagement with a male mating surface (121) at an end of the rotor shaft (6), so they become rotationally interlocked. The shaft engager (105) includes alignable indicator slots (128) that are, in use, alignable with markings (129) associated with an end of the rotor shaft (6), such that said markings become visible through the slots (128) as the rod (104) is rotationally driven by a drive component (107, 108). The markings (129) correspond to hammer positions within the crusher, such that these can be manoeuvred for maintenance (e.g. to top dead-centre positions) before access to the crusher chamber is gained.
Abstract:
A bearing cartridge (10) and a retaining ring (35) for a bearing cartridge to support a rotatable main shaft (15) of a vertical shaft impact (VSI) crusher. The cartridge (10) comprising: an elongate housing (45) defining an internal chamber (32) to receive a part of the main shaft (15) of the crusher; an annular flange (21) projecting radially outward from the housing (45) at or towards a first axial end (24) of the housing (45) to seat within an annular neck (13) of a frame part (11) of the crusher; and a retaining ring (35) releasably mountable to an external facing surface (30) of the housing (45) at or towards a second axial end (35) of the housing (45) to seat within an annular skirt (14) of the frame part (11); wherein the retaining ring (35) is a single piece ring extending radially between the skirt (14) and the housing (45).
Abstract:
A locking device (60) for a crusher rotor (4) of a horizontal shaft impact crusher (1), said rotor (4) including at least one hammer element (46) and at least one rotor disc (66) having a plurality of rotor arms (70). The locking device (60) comprises: a locking-wedge (80), including a first through bore (88); a screw element (90) for driving the locking-wedge (80) into a locking position between a rotor arm (70) and the hammer element (46), and for holding the locking-wedge (80) in the locking position, thereby fixing the hammer element (46) to the rotor disc (66); a locking nut (108) for receiving the locking screw element; and a locking nut holder (98,120); wherein the screw element (90) is at least partly located in the first through bore (88) and extends through the locking nut (108), and the locking nut holder (98,120) holds the locking nut (108) in a manner that prevents the locking nut (108) from rotating as the screw element (90) is driven through the locking nut (108).
Abstract:
An abrasion wear resistant insert mountable to protect a rotor within a vertical shaft impact crusher for material fed into the rotor. Attachment components are provided around a perimeter of the plate to facilitate mounting and decoupling of the plate at the rotor during servicing or replacement procedures.
Abstract:
A hammer mountable at a rotor of a horizontal shaft impact crusher (HSi-crusher). The hammer comprises a front face, a rear face and at least one recess projecting inwardly into a main body of the hammer from the front face suitable to receive an attachment element to mount the hammer at a hammer lifting device.
Abstract:
A vertical shaft impact crusher feed hopper distribution device (26) is adapted for feeding material to be crushed to a rotor (2) of a vertical shaft impact crusher (1). The feed hopper distribution device (26) is adapted to be mounted in a feed hopper means (6) feeding material to the rotor (2) and comprises a supply channel (68) which is adapted for forwarding material from an inlet opening (70) arranged adjacent to an upper end (72) of the supply channel (68) to a hopper bottom opening (28) arranged in a bottom (48) of the feed hopper means (6) and communicating with the rotor (2). The supply channel (68) has a cross-section that widens along at least a portion of the distance from the upper end (72) to a lower end (74) of the supply channel (68).
Abstract:
A horizontal shaft impact crusher comprises a crusher housing (2) having an inlet (8) for material to be crushed, an outlet (10) for material that has been crushed, an impeller (4) being mounted on a horizontal shaft (6) in the crusher housing (2) and being operative for rotating around a horizontal axis, a curtain (28) against which material accelerated by the impeller (4) may be crushed, and an adjustment bar (44) for adjusting the position of said curtain (28) relative to the impeller (4). The crusher is further provided with a cross beam (84) to which said adjustment (44) bar is connected, said crossbeam (84) being adjustable relative to the impeller (4), and a curtain position indicator device (85) indicating the position of the cross beam (84) relative to the impeller (4), thereby indicating the position of the curtain (28) relative to the impeller (4).
Abstract:
A vertical shaft impact crusher comprises a rotor (1), adapted for rotating about a substantially vertical axis for accelerating a flow of material to be crushed; a housing, comprising a circumferential impact wall section against which the accelerated flow of material may be crushed; a feed tube (46), adapted for vertically feeding a flow of material to be crushed into the rotor (1); and a feeding chamber (21), defined by a feeding chamber side wall (22) and adapted for vertically feeding a flow of material into the feed tube (46). A first door (56) is provided for opening and closing an aperture (54) in the feeding chamber side wall (22), such that said feed tube (46) may be removed from said feeding chamber (21) via said first aperture (54).
Abstract:
A rotor locking device (113) in a crusher (1) for locking a rotational position of a rotor shaft (6). A shaft engager (105) includes a female toothed mating surface (120) for coaxial engagement with a male mating surface (121) at an end of the rotor shaft (6), so they become rotationally interlocked. A fastening portion (122) with engager apertures (123) overlaps with a bearing mount (200) surrounding the rotor shaft (6) so it can be fastened therewith. Preferably, the engager apertures (123) are circumferentially elongated in order to accommodate alignment with fastening points (205) in the bearing mount (200), at least when a closest rotational mating position is chosen for alignment. This enables any rotational position of the rotor shaft (6) to be locked, for safety, before having to access the crusher chamber. This safety feature is desirable when the rotor of the crusher (1) has become blocked and requires maintenance.
