Abstract:
A modular medical device includes a core module housing. The core module housing includes a treatment module interface configured to couple to any one of a plurality of treatment modules, and each of the plurality of treatment modules includes a treatment assembly configured to apply a medical treatment. The core housing module contains one or more processing devices coupled to the treatment module interface and configured to determine which particular treatment module, from the plurality of treatment modules, is coupled to the treatment module interface. The one or more processing devices are configured to select, based on the determination, a set of control instructions for the particular treatment module from a plurality of control instructions, and control the particular treatment module using the selected control instructions such that the treatment assembly of the particular treatment module applies the medical treatment for which the treatment assembly is configured.
Abstract:
A pet food composition having at least two carotenoids. The carotenoids can include a keto-carotenoid and at least one non-keto-carotenoid. The keto-carotenoid can include astaxanthin. The keto-carotenoid can include astaxanthin ester. The non-keto-carotenoid can include beta-carotene and/or lutein.
Abstract:
A medical device includes a treatment module configured to apply a medical treatment and one or more storage devices storing a device identifier that identifies the medical device. The medical device also includes one or more processing devices configured to control the treatment module to apply a medical treatment, collect compliance information that reflects a patient's compliance with a treatment regimen, access the device identifier from the one or more storage devices, and send the collected compliance information with the accessed device identifier to a server system. The server system is configured to receive the compliance information and the device identifier, determine a patient identifier based on the device identifier, store the compliance information in association with the determined patient identifier, and provide access to the compliance information in response to an inquiry.
Abstract:
Disclosed are methods and apparatus for guaranteeing restoration of traffic between one or more cable modems and a backup cable modem termination system upon failure of an active cable modem termination system are disclosed. Subscriber information associated with one or more cable modems are received from an active cable modem termination system. The subscriber information includes one or more subscriber identifiers. For instance, the subscriber information may include a primary subscriber identifier that identifies a particular cable modem as well as a secondary subscriber identifier that is assigned to high priority traffic such as that being transmitted in real-time. In addition, the subscriber information may also include a scheduling type that is further used to categorize the real-time traffic, such as into voice or video traffic. The subscriber information is then prioritized in an order in which the transmission of messages between the one or more cable modems and the backup cable modem are to be restored. For instance, the subscriber information may be prioritized according to time of receipt of the subscriber information, presence of secondary subscriber identifier, and/or scheduling type. The cable modems are then polled according to this priority order.
Abstract:
A controllable reactor and a method of assembling it are disclosed. The controllable reactor (1) comprises a core structure (2) surrounded by a main winding (3), and a control winding(201) for controlling an inductance of the core structure (2), and the core structure (2) comprises a control element (20) with a control core (200) surrounded by the control winding (201). The method includes prefabrication control elements (20) with a control core (200) surrounded by the control winding (201), and stacking a plurality of prefabricated control elements (20) and uncontrolled elements (21) to form the core structure of the reactor (1), so as to simplify design, fabrication, and assembling of a controllable reactor with a transverse DC winding.
Abstract:
The invention provides a variety of molecular tools for use in live-cell tracking of activities of biomolecules and in high-throughput drug screening.

For instance, the subscriber information may be prior tized according to time of receipt of the subscriber information, presence of se ondary subscriber identifier, and/or scheduling type. The cable modems are the olled according to this priority order.
Abstract:
A chimeric phosphorylation indicator is provided. A chimeric phosphorylation indicator can contain a donor molecule, a phosphorylatable domain, a phosphoaminoacid binding domain (PAABD), and an acceptor molecule. A chimeric phosphorylation indicator also can contain a phosphorylatable polypeptide and a fluorescent protein, wherein the phosphorylatable polypeptide is contained within the sequence of the fluorescent protein, or wherein the fluorescent protein is contained within the sequence of the phosphorylatable polypeptide. Also provided are polynucleotides encoding such chimeric phosphorylation indicators, as well as kits containing the indicators or the polynucleotides. In addition, a method of using the chimeric phosphorylation indicators to detect a kinase or phosphatase in a sample is provided.
