Abstract:
The invention concerns a method for operating a radio communications system. Authorisation data is sent to radio stations (MS11, MS12, MS13, MS14) so that said radio stations (MS11, MS12, MS13, MS14) are temporarily authorised, by way of the authorisation data, to communicate using radio access technology. Messages can be transmitted between a first radio station (MS11) and a second radio station (MS14) via a path that runs via one or more additional radio stations (MS12, MS13). The authorisation data is sent such that, whilst a message is transmitted via the path using radio access technology, at any point in time a subset of adjacent radio stations (MS11, MS12, MS13, MS14) on the path are authorised to communicate using radio access technology.
Abstract:
A method for providing a service to a terminal (303), comprises the steps of : at a terminal (303): - finding a geographical location of the terminal (303); - storing said geographical location; and - transmitting a service request (SREQ) comprising said geographical location from the terminal (303) to a system (303B) directly or via at least one network (350); and at the system (303B): - in response to receiving the service request (SREQ), providing a location-based service (SERV) to the terminal (303) using said geographical location.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for reconfiguring a packet-switched communication network comprising a first network using a first network protocol and a second network using a second network protocol different from the first network protocol, in which the two networks are interconnected by two redundant data links, of which only one is activated for the exchange of useful data. A first redundant data link is preset to be activated and a second redundant data link is preset to be deactivated. Said method is characterised by the following steps: a failure of the first redundant data link is detected by a first bridge of the second network, connected to the first redundant data link; a first data packet is generated by the first bridge of the second network and the first data packet is transmitted to a second bridge of the second network, connected to the redundant second data link; and the first data packet is received and processed by the second bridge of the second network. The first data packet contains logical information by which means the at least partial implementation of the first network protocol on a port of the second bridge connected to the redundant second data link, and an activation of the second redundant data link, are triggered by the first network protocol.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a communication system (100) comprising at least one first communication network (10- 1, 10-2) designed for communication according to a first protocol, at least one second communication network (20) designed for communication according to a second protocol, and at least one third communication network (30-1, 30-2) designed for communication according to the first and second protocols. The at least one first communication network (10-1, 10-2) and/or the at least one second communication network (20) and/or the at least one third communication network (30-1, 30-2) are coupled together for the exchange of messages. The inventive system also comprises a mobile computer (40) designed for communication according to the first and second protocols, and a target computer (42) which is designed for communication according to the first protocol and/or the second protocol, and is associated with the first, second or third communication network (10-1, 10-2, 30, 30- 25 1, 30-2). The inventive communication system is designed in such a way that when the mobile computer (40) is connected to a network connection computer (31) of the third communication network (30-1, 30-2), before the establishment of a communication connection to the target computer, the protocol to be used for communication with the network connection computer (31) is determined.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method and a system for preparing an automatic translation of a text, wherein a photograph of an original containing the text is taken using a digital camera associated with a mobile terminal. Text portions in said photograph are acquired, the acquired text portions are translated from the source language of the texts into a target language in accordance with a predetermined information, and the translated text portions are output on output devices associated with the mobile terminal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a mirror alignment device (50) and a solar tower of a solar tower power plant, comprising a transmission unit which has at least one antenna group (58, 60) that consists of a pair of antennae or of at least three antennae arranged along or on a straight line.
