A solar power collection system includes one or more photovoltaic (PV) panel assemblies positioned by one or more tracker drive units. Each PV panel assembly includes at least one PV panel comprising PV cells that collect solar energy and a base attached to the PV panel. The base includes at least one curved rocker surface that presents a first convex surface in at least a first direction to a substrate. The base is positionable on the substrate with the first direction aligned with an east-west orientation. The tracker drive unit is mechanically coupled to the base via a selected one of: (i) a drive rod; (ii) a closed loop cable; (iii) a torsion mechanism to impart a selected amounting of rolling-rocking movement of the base across the substrate to position the PV panel to efficiently receive sunlight.

A wall mountable common axis single step tracking concentrating solar cooker is disclosed which is eco friendly, efficient and easy for using. The solar cooker has a wall mounting system and includes a seashell type complex reflector surface that includes a cooking pot assembly positioned therein. The reflector surface can be adjusted according to the position of the sun due to which sun light (heat radiations) are concentrated to specific area and to cook the food within two and half hours. The solar cooker is adjustable according to the position of the sun and does not require personal attention. The solar cooker is completely safe in operation and beneficial to the residents of multi-storey buildings.

Articulated concave mirrors are attached to the rotatable structure, and the mirrors have a focal length approximately equal to the radius of a sphere portion formed by the concave mounting surface. Sunlight is focused at a receiver mounted atop the tower, and the receiver may convert sunlight into thermal or electrical energy. As the position of the Sun changes, sunlight is maintained on the receiver by turning the rotatable structure toward the Sun, turning the receiver about said vertical axis to face the mirrors, and articulating the mirrors toward the receiver in response to the changing elevation of the Sun.

The pulley system can include a base pulley, a collaborative pulley, and a compliant band about the base pulley and the collaborative pulley. The movable arm can be attached to the compliant band such that when the movable arm actuates, the compliant band causes the base pulley and the collaborative pulley to move. The rotatable shaft is attached to the base pulley and is configured to rotate when the base pulley rotates, as well as rotate a solar device along a single axis in an outward orientation with respect to the rotatable shaft.
