Abstract: The invention is directed to a sealing element (1) for sealing joints in concrete structures comprising a profile (2) having a center portion (3) and first and second side portions (4, 5) on opposite sides of, the center portion (3). The side portions (4, 5) of the profile are at least partially covered with a functional coating (6) which is operative to bond with a fresh cementitious composition casted against it and allowed to harden. The invention is also directed to a method for producing a sealing element, to a method for sealing a joint between two sections of concrete, to a sealed construction, and to use of a sealing element for sealing of a joint in a concrete construction.

Abstract: Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine wasserdichte Membran, umfassend eine Schottschicht und eine Funktionsschicht, wobei die Funktionsschicht ein thermoplastisches Polymer, das unter dem Einfluss von stark alkalischen Medien seine Konsistenz ändert, und ein Haftmittel enthält, deren Herstellung und Verwendung. Die Funktionsschicht, die in Form einer Folie, einer Beschichtung oder als Faservlies, in dem die Fasern aus einem harten Kern bestehen, der von einer Schicht aus dem Polymer umgeben ist, ausgebildet sein kann sind vor dem Kontakt mit flüssigem Beton inert und wirken als Schutzschicht. Somit wird die Membran vor vorzeitiger Alterung geschützt und das Arbeiten auf der Abdichtung ermöglicht. Während der Betonierung, d.h. beim Kontakt mit flüssigem Beton, löst sich das Polymer auf und ermöglicht so eine Anbindung des Haftmittels an den Beton. Die Funktionsschicht wirkt damit als Haftdichtmasse und führt dazu, dass die Abdichtung hinterlaufsicher ist.
