Abstract: The present innovation provides an oil palm fruit ripening room (1) for uniform ripening and to reduce retting period of oil palm fruits, wherein the room (1) including an external housing (2) to store oil palm fresh fruit bunches (FFB), at least one ventilation fan (3, 4) for substantial air movement in the room (1), a means to produce at least one fruit ripening composition (5) with concentration in a range of between 500 ppm to 3,000 ppm for a room volume of at least 45 m3 to layer the oil palm, at least one door (6) to provide access into and out of the room (1), at least one opening (7,8), at least one sensor located at the external housing (2), a control panel (10) with an application software to automatically control release of the fruit ripening composition (5) into the room (1), switching on and off of the at least one ventilation fan (3,4) and the opening and closing of the at least one opening (7,8) and a wireless network and the control panel (10) with an application software as a data acquisition interface for real-time monitoring.
