Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for preventing the corrosion of metal articles and alloys comprising applying thereon a composition formed by a curable epoxy resin and a curing agent in admixture with at least two ionisable amorphous polymers having a low T g , and then curing this composition after application. The thus obtained coating layer, when subjected to mechanical damage, such as a scratch, allows the polymers to form an ionic network that protects the underlying metal surface from corrosion.
