Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a three-dimensional molded article from cellulose fibers, comprising the steps of: -providing a pulp molding composition; -molding a three-dimensional precursor structure from said composition wherein said structure comprises a dry content between 15-80wt%; -providing an aqueous suspension comprising microfibrillated cellulose and wet strength agent; -applying the aqueous suspension onto at least one face of said precursor structure to create a surface barrier layer on said structure; and -dewatering and drying said molded precursor structure under elevated temperature >150°C to a dry content of ≥88wt%, preferably ≥94wt%, more preferably ≥96% to achieve the three- dimensional molded article.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a machine glazed paper comprising microfibrillated cellulose, wherein the method comprises the steps of: providing a suspension comprising between 0.1 wt-% to 50 wt-% of microfibrillated cellulose based on total dry weight, forming a fibrous web of said suspension on a wire wherein said web has a dry content of 1-25% by weight, dewatering the fibrous web in at least one dewatering unit, glazing at least one side of the dewatered fibrous web in a glazing unit to form the machine glazed paper. The invention further relates to a MG paper produced according to the method.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a packaging material and a packaging material suitable for packaging of food and/or liquid. In the method of the invention a first barrier layer, and an optional second barrier layer, is applied on a first side of a paperboard web. The thereby formed barrier coated web is at least partly dried in a first drying step, whereupon an extruded layer is applied onto the partly dried barrier coated web in a second coating step. In accordance with the invention, the first and second coating steps are applied integrated within the same coating line. The application of a first barrier layer and an extrusion coated layer in the same coating line in accordance with the invention has shown to give rise to a packaging material with remarkably good barrier properties, especially gas-, liquid and/or grease barrier properties, for the packaging of food and/or liquid.

Abstract: A method is provided for coating a fibrous web, in particular a fibrous web comprising nanocellulose fibres. The method includes steps of applying a coating agent to a textured surface region of a textured substrate, applying a fibre furnish or a wet fibrous web onto the coated textured surface region of the textured substrate, optionally dewatering to provide a wet fibrous web, and drying said wet fibrous web such that at least a portion of said coating agent is transferred to said fibrous web. The method provides a coated fibrous web with improved barrier properties.

Abstract: The invention discloses a method for producing a three dimensional molded structure from cellulose fibers, comprising the steps of: - providing a cellulose fiber material comprising cellulose pulp, said material having a solid content between 0.1-95%; - providing a forming tool having a three dimensional shape including a forming surface, and bringing said forming surface into contact with the cellulose fiber material; - press drying the cellulose fiber material contacted by the forming tool at temperatures >20°C to a dry content of at least 50%, preferably at least 60%; and - removing said dried layer from the forming tool to achieve the three dimensional molded product, wherein said method also comprises the step of applying aqueous metal salt spray such that at least one outer surface of the achieved three dimensional molded product comprises at least one metal salt ion originating from said applied metal salt spray.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for producing a three dimensional molded structure from cellulose fibers, comprising the steps of: - providing an aqueous composition comprising cellulose pulp and at least one metal salt in a substantially homogeneous mixture, wherein said mixture has a solid content between 0.05-10wt%; - providing a forming tool having a three dimensional shape comprising a forming portion, and bringing said forming portion into contact with the aqueous composition so that said forming portion is covered with a wet layer of pulp of between 5-150 gsm in dry weight; - dewatering the layer of pulp contacted by the forming tool at temperatures >100°C to a dry content of at least 70wt%, preferably at least 80% to achieve the three dimensional molded structure; wherein the dose of metal salt in said three dimensional molded structure is 1-50 kg/tn or more preferably 5-35 kg/tn.
