摘要: The present invention relates generally to compositions for treating patients that have skin cancer or have recently had skin cancers removed. More specifically, the present invention provides human skin substitutes engineered to express exogenous IL-12 and compositions and methods for making human skin substitutes engineered to express exogenous IL-12. In addition, the present invention provides methods for treatment of sites on a patient where skin cancers have been removed with human skin substitutes engineered to express exogenous IL-12.

摘要: The present disclosure provides methods for treating acute wounds and improving outcomes by applying to an acute wound a skin substitute that is an organotypic human skin equivalent comprising NIKS cells. In certain embodiments, the closed wound has improved vascularity, improved pigmentation, decreased thickness, decreased pain, increased pliability, increased surface area, decreased stiffness, decreased itching, improved color, or any combination thereof, as assessed by an observer or by the subject, as compared to an autograft or another skin substitute.
