Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a textile composite, especially for outdoor applications, which contains at least one layer (2) of polymeric nanofibers deposited on a textile carrier layer (3), in which at least one hydrophobic agent in a liquid or plastic state is applied with plasma spraying to the textile carrier layer (3) after deposition of the layer (2) of polymeric nanofibers and after connecting the two layers by a binder, whereby the hydrophobic agent is applied to the textile carrier layer (3) from the side opposite the side where layer (2) of polymeric nanofibers has been deposited. The invention also relates to a textile composite (1), especially for outdoor applications, which contains a layer (2) of polymeric nanofibers deposited on a textile carrier layer (3), prepared by this method.
