Abstract:
A microwave transceiver comprising a data buffer, an ACM module, a PA, and an antenna. The ACM module configured to receive buffered data from the data buffer and to modulate the buffered data at a modulation format having a spectral efficiency, the PA configured to receive modulated buffered data from the ACM module, and to transmit amplified modulated buffered data, via the antenna, to a remote microwave transceiver at an output power. The modulation format is selected from a plurality of modulation formats based on a feedback signal from the remote microwave transceiver. The microwave transceiver further comprising a control module configured to monitor a buffer state of the data buffer, and to control the output power of the PA based on the buffer state.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to methods and arrangements for controlling point-to-point microwave transmission on a microwave link between a first and a second microwave network node, wherein the microwave link is configured for payload data transmission at a payload data rate. The method comprises obtaining (S41) information indicative of a current data rate capability of the microwave link and comparing (S43) the current data rate capability to the configured payload data rate. When the current data rate capability is below the configured payload data rate, transmission on the microwave link is adapted (S47) to comprise transmission of dummy data on the microwave link between the first and second microwave network node.
Abstract:
A method for reducing distortion in a wireless system, the method comprising; obtaining a distorted signal ( s dist ) comprising at least one dominating signal component (110), where each dominating signal component is comprised in a respective frequency band (115), generating a distortion compensated signal ( s comp ) by minimizing a difference between the distorted signal and an estimated reference signal ( ŝ ), and generating the estimated reference signal ( ŝ ) by filtering the compensated signal by a filter having a filter parameter that determines a frequency response of the filter, wherein the filter parameter is configured such that the filter amplifies signals in the at least one frequency band compared to signals outside of the at least one frequency band.
Abstract:
Methods and arrangements for adaptive power control are provided. A MIMO system, comprises at least two spatial receiver antennas (21-1, 21-2,.., 21-M) and at least two spatial transmitter antennas (11-1, 11-2,.., 11-N). A processor units determines whether first signal quality parameter associated with a first receiver antenna is below a first threshold criteria (Thr_C/l_l); and in response to it measures a second parameter or attempts to decrease a transmission power of a transmitter associated with a second receiver antenna. The processor unit may also increase the transmission power of the transmitter associated with the first receiver.
