Abstract: Embodiments herein disclose, e.g., a method performed by a network node (12), in a wireless communications network (1), for charging a rechargeable power source in the network node (12). The network node (12) obtains an operational parameter to an operation of the network node (12), wherein the operational parameter is based on an output of a computational model. The computational model is based on a state of charge of the rechargeable power source, a parameter related to outage of a power grid, and a QoS parameter relating to radio communication in the wireless communications network. The network node (12) further applies, during a charging of the rechargeable power source, the operational parameter to the operation of the network node (12).

Abstract: A method for controlling transmission power from one or more radio units is provided including monitoring channel state feedback for a signal communicated between a first radio unit of the one or more radio units and a user device in a transmitted frequency range, wherein the channel state feedback is based at least in part on a metric of quality of the communicated radiofrequency signal, determining that the channel state feedback satisfies a channel state condition, wherein the channel state condition includes a metric to evaluate performance of the one or more radio units relative to the user device based at least on the metric of quality of the communicated signal, and transmitting an instruction to adjust a transmission power in the transmitted frequency range of at least one of the one or more radio units based at least on the satisfaction of the channel state condition.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) supporting full duplex communications may determine that a set of downlink messages to be transmitted from a base station to the UE overlaps in time with a set of uplink messages to be transmitted from the UE. Accordingly, the UE may determine a downlink transmission power adjustment value for the set of downlink messages. In some examples, the base station may indicate the downlink transmission power adjustment value to the UE via radio resource control (RRC) signaling, a downlink control information (DCI) message, or both. The UE may transmit the set of uplink messages while simultaneously receiving the set of downlink messages with a transmission power that corresponds to the downlink transmission power adjustment value. Adjusting the transmission power for the set of downlink messages may reduce self-interference at the UE, the base station, or both.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for sharing a maximum transmit power limit between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT. In one aspect, a wireless communication apparatus may reduce the maximum transmit power limit of a first uplink signal associated with the first RAT to obtain a first transmit power. The wireless communication apparatus may allocate a second transmit power remaining from the maximum transmit power limit to a second uplink signal associated with the second RAT. The wireless communication apparatus may reduce the maximum transmit power limit when the wireless communication apparatus is located at a cell edge, and a higher priority of the first RAT in relation to the second RAT may otherwise result in the second transmit power of the second uplink signal not satisfying a threshold.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may establish a sidelink communication link with a base station via a relay UE. The UE may receive control signaling from the base station indicating a configuration for transmitting a power headroom report for transmissions scheduled over the sidelink communication link. The UE may determine a power headroom associated with transmissions from the UE to the relay UE over the sidelink communication link based on a transmission power capability of the UE, and convey a power headroom report to the base station. The base station may schedule communications with the UE based on the received power headroom report for the sidelink communication link.

A transmitting device such as a base station and a user equipment (UE), may segment a set of bits within a transport block into a first subset of bits including modulation bits and a second subset of bits including index modulation bits. The transmitting device may map the first subset of bits to a first set of subcarriers, the second subset of bits to a second set of subcarriers, and an additional set of bits to a third set of subcarriers. The transmitting device may generate a signal according to a boosting factor based on mapping the first subset of bits, the second subset of bits, and the additional set of bits, and transmit the generated signal to a receiving device.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to inter-band carrier aggregation. A user equipment (UE), for example, may obtain a measured configured maximum UE output power (PUMAX) and prioritize aspects of UE transmissions that contribute to PUMAX. Prioritization may be based, for example, on band priority, channel priority, service priority, or any combination thereof. The power levels related to the prioritized features may be changed by changing a power management maximum power reduction (P-MPR) of each feature associated with the transmission according to the prioritized order of the features. The UE may determine if an electromagnetic power density exposure level of the UE is at or below a predetermined maximum permissible exposure (MPE) level. The UE may continue to reduce the transmitter output power if the electromagnetic power density exposure level is greater than the predetermined MPE level. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

Abstract: Embodiments of a method in an access node of a wireless communication network pre-emptively reduces intercell interference, ICI, in neighboring cells. The access node is configured to transmit downlink traffic to a plurality of user equipments, UEs, in a coverage area of the access node. At least one unscheduled physical resource block, PRB, is detected. Downlink traffic across is diluted across the at least one unscheduled PRB. Finally, transmission power of scheduled PRBs is reduced.
