Described herein, an anhydrous cosmetic composition includes a first water-absorbing component having a water vapor sorption greater than 20 g per 100 g of the first water-absorbing component according to the Water Vapor Sorption Test Method as disclosed herein; a second water-absorbing component having a water vapor sorption from 8.5 to 19.9 g per 100 g of the second water-absorbing component according to the Water Vapor Sorption Test Method as disclosed herein; a malodour-controlling component; a cosmetically acceptable carrier; and wherein the anhydrous cosmetic composition is essentially free of aluminum-based antiperspirant actives.

A skin smoothing composition that has from about 0.5 to about 10%, by weight, of an interpenetrating polymer that is a co-polymer of polyurethane and a polyacrylic polymer. The composition further contains from about 0.1% to about 5%, by weight, of a thickener made from homopolymers of acrylic acid crosslinked with a cross linker selected from the group consisting of an allyl ether pentaerythritol, allyl ether of sucrose, allyl ether of propylene and mixtures thereof. And from about 10 to 98% water.
