Abstract: An airtight sealed package containing active ingredient insect repellent chemicals is provided, in which the package may be opened, allowing the insect repellent structure to be removed and have it accessible to ambient air thereby releasing the active ingredient to create an insect free zone and/or have an additional exothermic heat creating apparatus which, when subject to ambient air, provides heat to enhance the release of the insect repellent from the mat.

The device employs a pressure regulator (28) to establish gas flow, heat generation, and dispensing temperature at pre-determined optimal values.
