A wearable dispenser in the form of an armband (10) comprises an elongate body (12) of flexible material that defines a discharge opening (18) at its one end and an internal cavity (14) along its length, that is in communication with the discharge opening (18). A closure element (28) can selectively open and close the discharge opening (28) and a piston in the form of a ball (40) is provided inside the cavity (14) that seals against internal walls of the cavity (14) and can slide longitudinally along the cavity (14) to drive a fluid from the cavity to the discharge opening 18. An elongate spine element (34) extends along the length of the body (12) and is attached to the body (12).

L'invention concerne des projectiles de type billes de paint-ball contenant des phéromones d'insectes, encapsulées dans une formulation aqueuse de type émulsion huile dans eau. Ces formulations sont capables de relarguer ces phéromones de manière prolongée. Ces projectiles ont la particularité de contenir la formulation aqueuse de phéromone encapsulée compatible avec l'enveloppe du projectile composé de polymère oxo-dégradable. L'invention vise l'utilisation de ces projectiles pour le traitement des arbres contre les insectes ravageurs par projection et éclatement desdits projectile sur les troncs desdits arbres.

In one aspect, the invention relates to chemical modulators of insect olfactory receptors. In particular, compounds and compositions are provided that can inhibit sensory (e.g., host targeting) functions in airborne insects such as mosquitos. Method of employing such agents, and articles incorporating the same, are also provided. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.

The present disclosure is directed to a method for applying an agrochemical to an agricultural area of interest based on information generated from a remote sensing survey. A remote sensing survey is performed within or adjacent to the agricultural area of interest wherein the survey generates remotely sensed data. The remotely sensed data can be analyzed and/or interpreted to determine whether to apply an agrochemical based on an insect presence within or adjacent to the agricultural area of interest. In one embodiment, an agrochemical can be applied within or adjacent to the agricultural area of interest.

The present invention relates to a method for removing animals from an area before mowing the area, the method comprising: Identifying one or more animals present in the area by use of a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) the day before initiation of mowing, and if one or more animals are detected within the area, releasing an animal repellent from the UAV, at and/or near the identified animal(s).

The disclosure provides a fragrance distribution device including a housing. The housing has an aperture into which a hook, clip, adhesive peg, or other attaching device may be secured. This allows the housing to be placed into a vent or clipped to a surface at the convenience of a user. Typically the housing encloses a thermoplastic fragrance carrier.

A dispensing unit has a base with two or more upwardly projecting side panels hingedly attached thereto. The sides have upper ends which pivot inwardly to a closed position, and outwardly to an open position. One or more removable dispensable compound containers are locatable within the unit, positioned adjacent a relative movable side panel. Each side has a capping projection that is located over and caps the container when the side panel is in a closed position, and which uncap the container when in the open position. When the sides are pivoted outwardly, they permit dispensing of the dispensable compound located in each container.
