Abstract: A disposable wearing article adapted to appropriately come in close contact with the wearer's waist. A pair of side panels (70) is attached in the lateral edges (16) in the rear waist region (12) of the chassis (10). Each side panel (70) includes the elastic region (78), inner and outer non-elastic regions (79a, 79b) which are not elastically stretchable and contractible. Inner and outer non-elastic regions (79a, 79b) are formed on the opposite lateral portions of the elastic region (78) in the lateral direction (X). Compared to a dimension (Bl) in a contracted state, a dimension (B2) in the maximum stretched state of the elastic region (78) has a stretch ratio of about 10 to about 40% thereof. The tensile stress of the side panels (70) in the lateral direction (X) is to be about 1 to about 5 N/50 mm.

Abstract: A disposable absorbent article has a display area adapted to be visually recognized from both an inner side and an outer side of the article and to be formed by a simplified process. A diaper 1 comprises a chassis 10 and a liquid-absorbent structure 20. The second outer sheet 17 is formed on its outer surface with a display area 30 extending in a longitudinal direction Y. The liquid-absorbent structure 20 is formed with a central void 41 and lateral voids 42 in which core material for a core 23 is not present. The display area 30 can be visually recognized from the garment-facing side through the first outer sheet 16 and from the skin-facing side also through the central void 41 of the liquid-absorbent structure 20.
