Abstract:
An aid device (100) for blind people comprising: one signal generator (1 ), one antenna (4) that picks up a reflected beam (S7) and converts it into an electrical signal (S8), one synchronism detector (6) that receives a first signal (S4) indicative of the electrical signal (S) from the generator and a second signal (S9) indicative of the electrical signal (S8) from the antenna, one analogue-digital converter (8) that converts into digital the signal mean values (S21, S22) from the synchronism detector (6), one processing unit (9) that saves in a memory (10) complex reflection coefficients (p(f)) for every scanning frequency (f) and makes an Inverse Fast Fourier Transform (IFFT) of the complex reflection coefficients (p(f)) to obtain a spatial reflection profile of the obstacle (5), and one user interface (12) to emit an alarm when said obstacle (5) is detected in the spatial reflection profile.
Abstract:
The device (1 ) for guiding a partially-sighted or blind person (X) without contact along a trajectory or route comprises a transmitter (T), comprising two transmitting antennas (A1, A2), adapted to form two electromagnetic barriers (B1. B2) perpendicular to a street plane and separated by an adjustable distance (Z) and also comprises a receiver (R) worn by the person (X) and comprising two alarm devices (Y1, Y2) adapted to generate an alarm when the person (X) gets close to one of said two electromagnetic barriers ( B1, B2).
