Abstract:
In a process for manufacturing a smooth, dimensionally stable, shrink-resistant polyester filament yarn, the starting product is a polyester POY. The polyester POY (5a) is cold-stretched (5b) in a stretching ratio of 1.8 to 2.5 and then relaxed with an advance of approximately 3 to 10 %. The yarn so obtained has an initial modulus of 600 to 1200 cN/tex, a reversibility limit greater than > 8 cN/tex, and an extensibility less than
Abstract:
A device for heating a bundle of wet threads (3) composed of smooth multifilaments using a turbulent air stream comprises U-shaped thread channels (7) provided with a sliding cover (8). A U-shaped thread channel (7) is formed by a lower part of circular cross-section and an upper part of rectangular cross-section. This ensures optimal turbulence and good drainage of the water from the wet threads. In the claimed process, the bundle of threads travels at a speed of 100 to 600 m/min.
Abstract:
In a device for joining a large number of threads from the bobbins of a loom, to each thread clamp (5) is allocated a thread guide tube (6) communicating with a vacuum duct (10) movable perpendicularly to the shuttle (2).
Abstract:
Described is a single-stage process for the production of fine thermoplastic monofilaments, in which cooling takes place on the surface of a rotating copper roller using winding speeds of 4000-6000 m/min. The monofilament produced by this process has a circular section, a shrinkage by boiling of 35 cN/dtex.
Abstract:
A melt-spinning device comprises an essentially sealed spinning chamber (3) mounted in a gas-tight manner between a spinneret bundle (2) and a yarn suction device (7). The spinning chamber (3) is partially perforated only in the region located 150 to 350 mm from the spinneret bundle. At a winding-off speed of 5500 m/min, the filament produced has a count irregularity less than 0.60 % U.
Abstract:
In a process for pre-twisting a synthetic multifilament yarn, the yarn is twisted at 0.5 to 3.0 bar before entering the drawing, texturing, and/or drawing texturing regions, to ensure problem-free subsequent processing to a pattern-free textile fabric without further twisting after the texturing or drawing process.
Abstract:
Process for manufacturing a continuous smooth polyester yarn of low shrinkage, based on a rapidly spun partial oriented yarn (POY). The polyester POY (5a) is cold-drawn (5b) and then, together with a 10 to 20 % lead, is subjected to hot relaxation (5c) at a temperature of between 140 and 250 DEG C in a dry medium or between 70 and 140 DEG C in a wet medium, after which it is subjected to swirling as necessary. A yarn is obtained having an initial modulus of between 200 and 800 cN/tex and a scouring shrinkage of less than 3 %. The yarn is suitable for use as a substitute for cellulose acetate.
Abstract:
For the preparation of technical yarns having limited shrink and being dimensionally stable, trifunctional or fixed-conformation difunctional comonomers are added to the molten polymer before the polycondensation. As functional groups, -OH, -O-Ac, -COOH and -COO-alkyl are used. As particularly appropriate comonomers, are aliphatic triols, aromatic tricarboxylic acids in a concentration from 0.01 to 0.2% by weight based on the polyester or unsaturated aliphatic diols, unsaturated hydrocarboxylic acids, derivatives of aromatic diols and derivatives of aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acids in a concentration from 1 to 10% by weight.
Abstract:
The disclosed yarn corresponds to a load/elongation curve resulting from a traction test representing an elongation comprised between 10 and 30 % of a secant module between 0 and 100 %. Utilization in knitting, weaving and hosiery.
