Abstract:
The present invention relates toa method of producing precipitated calcium carbonate (PCC) where a retention/strength enhancing chemical is added to milk of lime to form a mixture thereof prior to adding the mixture of the retention/strength enhancing chemical and milk of lime to paper making stock in a pipeline leading to a headbox of a paper making machine, whereafter carbon dioxide is introduced to the paper making stock, and the carbonation reaction between milk of lime and carbon dioxide is allowed to proceed in the presence of both fibres and the retention/strength enhancing chemical.
Abstract:
An in-line production method for providing a liquid flow of at least one additive in the short circulation and into the liquid flow of a paper making stock of a fiber web machine by feeding, the liquid flow of the at least one additive to the liquid flow of the short circulation, wherein a suitable amount of a microfibrillated cellulose or nanofibrillated polysaccharide is provided substantially simultaneously with the feeding of liquid flow of the at least one additive.
Abstract:
A ply for a paper and paperboard made from a ply substrate material, wherein the ply comprises a hybrid material, in an amount of 1-25 wt-% of the ply, wherein the hybrid material is introduced into a target suspension of the short circulation of a fibrous web forming process of a fibrous web machine, in an in-line process, wherein said target suspension forms the ply substrate material, and the hybrid material comprises an alkaline earth carbonate precipitated onto or into fibers or fibrils of a nanofibrillated polysaccharide.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method of preventing scaling on surfaces of an injection mixing apparatus and an injection mixing apparatus (40, 70, 140). The injection mixing apparatus of the invention is especially applicable in pulp and paper industry, i.e. in wood processing industry. The injection mixing apparatus (40, 70, 140) of the present invention is provided with electrical means (130) for preventing scaling on its surfaces.
