Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lawn perforating tool and method of using same to prepare new lawn or garden areas or distressed regions of existing lawns or gardens for the planting of seed, example of which include, but are not limited to, grass seed, clover seed, wildflower seed, and the like. The lawn perforating tool of the present invention is particularly configured to provide in the soil and dead grass holes or indentations of a size, shape, and depth that is optimal for receiving and germinating new grass seed and of a density and distribution suitable to provide the resulting grass with a visually desirable pattern, rendering new growth indistinguishable from old growth.

Abstract: The invention concerns a device for aerating sodded grounds and lawns in pleasure gardens and other green spaces, producing holes in the ground for aerating it. It consists of wheels (1) with spikes (2) fixed on the rim outer part. The wheels are mounted rotating freely on an axle (3) integral with an operating arm (4). A detachable loading unit (5) is fastened by means of a handle (6) on the axle of the wheels (3) in the middle of the device, its centre of gravity is located beneath the axle of the wheels like a pendulum. The inventive device is particularly designed for aerating sodded grounds and lawns in pleasure gardens and other green spaces.

Abstract: Disclosed is a combined weed extractor and soil aerator which allows grass roots to grow more deeply and to be more resistant, thus preventing weed germination on a soft soil. This combined extractor and aerator comprises a frame formed of an empty tube acting as a handle and specially made to become a ground plug receptacle. This combined extractor and aerator is such that an initial operation of it will extract a dandelion or other weeds in the form of a ground plug, and a further operation of it will cause the first ground plug to be stored in the empty handle, and so on, up to the full length of the empty handle, thereby allowing easier work and giving an easier way to catch the ground plugs. To empty the handle storage tube, the user has just to turn it upside down and the ground plugs will go out easily. Such is perfect to pour them into a compost tank.
