Compositions and methods are provided for enhancing plant immunity, health, growth and yields. In particular, the subject invention relates to treatment and/or prevention of plant pathogenic bacterial infections using microbes and/or their growth by-products. Specifically, the subject invention can be used to treat and/or prevent citrus greening disease and citrus canker disease. In certain embodiments, the growth by-products are biosurfactants and/or enzymes.

Methods for applying a coating to a surface of a substrate for inhibition and prevention of implant-associated complications (including implant-associated infections), methods for inhibiting and preventing implant-associated complications (including implant-associated infections), implant-associated infection inhibiting coatings, and coated devices are provided. Coating processes include a) providing a saturated or supersaturated solution of an antibiotic in a fast-evaporating or medium-evaporating organic solvent; b) coating the surface of the substrate with at least one application of solution, each application followed directly by a solvent evaporation period.

This invention is based on the discovery of compositions and methods for foliar applications which show surprisingly controlling efficacy against lepidopteran pests including Cydia pomonella and/or Grapholyta molesta . In one embodiment, the methods provided here can be performed with a composition comprising Compound A alone. In another embodiment, the methods provided herein can be performed in a compositional mixture, or a simultaneous or sequential application with Compound A and one or more Compound B as provided herein.

The methods provided herein can be performed in a compositional mixture, or a simultaneous or sequential application with one or more compounds of Compound A and Compound B as provided herein. In one embodiment, the stress is associated with vegetable transplants from a green house/nursery into an open field. In another embodiment, the stress is associated with heat, cold, and/or drought.
