Abstract:
An oral care system including a toothbrush and a dispenser that is detachably coupled thereto. In one aspect, the invention can be an oral care system comprising: a toothbrush comprising a handle, a head and a plurality of tooth cleaning elements extending from the head; and a dispenser detachably coupled to the toothbrush, the dispenser comprising a housing, a first reservoir chamber disposed in the housing containing a first oral care material, and a second reservoir chamber disposed in the housing containing a second oral care material, the second oral care material different than the first oral care material.
Abstract:
An oral care implement having a dispenser containing oral care material and a moisture impermeable barrier. An oral care implement comprising: a handle; a head connected to the handle, the head comprising at least one tooth cleaning element extending from a face of the head; a dispenser containing an oral care material positioned on the head, the dispenser being degradable when subjected to moisture; a removable barrier attached to the head so as to create a chamber between an inner surface of the removable barrier and a portion of the head, the removable barrier being constructed of a moisture impermeable material; and wherein the dispenser is disposed within the chamber.
Abstract:
A toothbrush containing toothpaste, the toothbrush having a body portion adapted to allow a gripping and manipulation of the toothbrush, the body portion having a reservoir for storage of toothpaste therein, a head portion with a plurality of bristles for contact with a user's teeth and an outlet co-located with the bristles, a toothpaste supply conduit associated with both the reservoir and the outlet and an actuable pump mechanism to force toothpaste from the reservoir to the head portion and out of the outlet.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an applicator for applying a flowable substance to a surface. The applicator comprises a reservoir, an applicator tip and a flow passageway. The reservoir is for containing a source of a flowable substance. The flowable substance is, in use, caused to flow through the flow passageway to the applicator tip from which it can be transferred onto the surface. The flow passageway includes a flow restrictor through which flowable substance from the reservoir must pass to reach the applicator tip. The flow restrictor may be fabricated from a sinter material.
Abstract:
ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an apparatus for applying a liquid coating onto an object. The apparatus includes a device that has a handle 14 and a transfer medium 16 which is attached to the handle. The apparatus further includes a cover 18 that is attached to the device. The cover includes a closure element 20 that is operable to open and close an end of the cover. When the end of the cover is open, the cover is movable between a first position where the cover protects the transfer medium and a second position where the cover protects the handle. In another example embodiment, the cover is formed of a removable first layer 58 that is positioned adjacent to the transfer medium when the cover is in the first position and a removable second layer 60 that is positioned adjacent to the handle when the cover is in the second position.
Abstract:
The invention comprises a handle (2) containing a reservoir (7) for the supply of material to a removable and interchangeable tool part (1). The tool part (1) may be a toothbrush head, a comb or a razor. A valve at the end of the transport tube (5) is used to control the flow of the material in the reservoir (7) to the toolpart (1). A button (6), pulling on a string (4), controls the angle of the tip of the tool part (1).
Abstract:
A dentifrice dispensing toothbrush (2) is described which utilizes a compressible elastic button (14) to pump a controlled quantity of dentifrice material from a replaceable cartridge to the brush head (10). In one embodiment, a cover (4) is provided which protects the brush head (10), bristles, pumping mechanism, and other parts of the toothbrush (2). The cover (4) also seals the conduit (26) which supplies dentifrice material to the brush head (10) to prevent it from becoming clogged with dried dentifrice material during periods of nonuse and to prevent accidental compression of the button (14).
Abstract:
In order to realize a tail end push type liquid discharge device, wherein liquid is fed onto a member to be coated in a short period of time at the start of use, no liquid leakage occurs even if pushed during use, and further, no blurring nor failure to write due to the decreased permeation of the liquid will occur when, at least, a consumer uses it for the first time, such an arrangement is adopted that a liquid discharge speed cushioning chamber is provided between the member to be coated and a valve mechanism, an open end of a liquid flow path directly connected to this discharge speed cushioning chamber is positioned in the vicinity of the front portion of a liquid occluding body provided at the back of the member to be coated, and a sealed portion is formed in the interior or exterior of bellows of a pushable portion.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to fluid dispensers and, more particularly, to hydraulically-driven, pump-like dispensers operable for manually-actuated, operator-controlled discharge of a stored, typically volatile fluid having characteristics that interfere with its ability to be readily contained. Heretofore known mechanically-pumped fluid dispensers for hydraulically discharging a stored fluid have been unable to contain or dispense highly volatile fluids. The present invention overcomes these deficiencies by providing a hand-held dispenser (10) which incorporates a flexible wall (66) or web-like barrier capable of containing a highly volatile fluid while accommodating mechanical and hydraulic dispenser-actuating deformations for initiating or effecting a discharge of the stored fluid. The barrier (66) is formed of a relatively thin wall of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) material having a predetermined thickness selected so as to render the barrier sufficiently flexible for accommodating deformations in accordance with which a discharge of fluid from the dispenser is hydraulically effected.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a tubular cosmetic container with a rotary open and shut-type brush, and the invention enables: cosmetics to be discharged with only the action of turning a rotary cap in an open and shut manner, thereby preventing the cosmetics from leaking even though the tubular container is unexpectedly pressed during use or while in storage; a sealed cap and the rotary cap to have tightly fixed maximum rising/falling positions via a spiral groove; and rising/falling operations to be performed in a smooth manner.
