Abstract:
A shade and curtain storage and deployment system that includes a shade assembly, a curtain assembly, and a panel, each disposed within a recess formed in a ceiling. The panel has a visible surface occupying a plane. The curtain assembly includes a track configured to support a curtain. A first gap provided between a first edge of the panel and the ceiling is configured to enable a shade of the shade assembly to extend from the recess to an area below the ceiling. A second gap provided between a second edge of the panel and the ceiling is configured to enable the curtain to extend along the second edge. The track extends along the second edge and above the plane.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present invention is concerned with a curtain track (2). The track (2) has a gate portion (8), which may be opened to provide a temporary gap to allow, e.g., an overhead suspension system to be moved from one side of the track (2) to the other. The track (2) may then be returned to its closed configuration. A biasing means (42) is provided to bias the gate closed. By providing a track that may be opened and closed by means of the gate portion, it is possible to suspend a curtain from the track, so as to provide a single partitioning screen, e.g., for a cubicle in a hospital ward.
Abstract:
A curtain assembly including a plurality of gliding means (4) for supporting a curtain (16) and adapted to fit into a curtain track (1) and move therealong including a curtain connecting portion capable of depending from the track and having at least one surface of planar configuration on which is located fastening means (14) for fastening to a curtain (16) having complementary fastening means to that on the gliding means.
Abstract:
A sliding screen system (101) for a sliding screen comprising a linear slide bar (110) and at least one sliding member (120, 120'). The linear slide bar (110) has a slide surface coated with a lacquer comprising a resin. The lacquer is in turn at least partly coated with a lipophilic composition coating. The lipophilic composition coating provides a slide layer on the slide bar (110) with low friction. The sliding system (101) is arranged to support a sliding screen (130), such as a sliding door or a sliding curtain, connected to the sliding member (120) to allow for linear movement of the sliding screen (130) along the longitudinal axis of the linear slide bar (110).
Abstract:
In one preferred form of the present invention, there is provided a curtain rail mount (14) for holding a curtain rail (12). The mount (12) comprises: a body (16) having an extension (18) at a first end (20) of the body (16). The extension (18) is provided for being inserted into an L-shaped channel section (22) provided by the curtain rail (12). The channel section (22) extends along the curtain rail (12). The extension (18) is configured to be inserted into a recess (24) of the channel section (22) that is covered by a lip (26) of the curtain rail (12). A first end portion (30) of the extension (18) is configured to push against a first side wall (32) of the channel section (22) that is covered by the lip (26), with a base portion (34) of the extension (18) pushing against an oppositely facing second side wall (36) of the channel section (32). In another preferred form of the present invention there is provided a corded curtain runner chain (10) for a curtain rail (34). The corded curtain runner chain (10) comprises a plurality of runners (12) connected by a cord (14). Each runner (12) comprises: a head portion (16), a neck portion (18) and a base portion (20). The base portion (20) provides a mount extension (22) in the form of an arm (24) that hangs in a vertical plane, when in a position for curtain hanging. The head portion (16) of the curtain runners (12) are configured to snap into a horizontally extending channel (32) of the curtain rail (34), through a vertically aligned opening (36) when in a position for curtain hanging, with the mount portion being aligned with the vertical plane. The arm (24) does not have to be horizontally aligned with the curtain rail (34). The snapping action allows the arm (24) to be readily held by a person when snapping the head of the curtain runner (12) into the channel (32).
