Abstract:
A drape is made from a series of strips of material arranged side by side and attached together in a manner so that each pair of adjacent lengthwise sides of each strip when joined together form a tab. Each strip has a sharp lengthwise pleat substantially parallel to and between the sides of the strip such that the drape has a series of sharp folds projecting outward on the front of the drape and a series of tabs projecting outward from the back of the drape.
Abstract:
The thermal insulation device for windows, doors and the like is provided as a curtain (10) or a roller blind. As a carrier element, it comprises a synthetic sheet covered with at least one metal layer deposited by vaporization or spraying and having a high reflection power for large wavelength thermal radiation. The synthetic sheet is divided at least locally for example by means of perforations (11) or by addition of narrow strips (15, 16) with a view to modify its mechanical characteristics to decrease the elasticity. The structure thus obtained, which may be used as curtains or roller blinds, is aesthetic and constitutes an important improvement.
Abstract:
Curtains are provided which have fastener/s and, in some cases, strut/s arranged along a screen. The strut/s extend to elevation/s below and/or above the fastener/s. An upper strut may have a lower degree of stiffness than a lower strut. In some cases, the fastener/s are arranged at least 20 inches from the screen's upper edge. Systems are described which include a disinfection apparatus and any of such curtains. Other systems include any of such curtains attached to an edge of a room divider. Easily assembled and disassembled room dividers are described which include cord/s and/or pole/s, installed or portable device/s for supporting the cords/poles, and fasteners for attaching a curtain to the cords/poles. A disinfection apparatus is described which includes a shield extending to an elevation at least two feet above a germicidal light source and borders at least one third of a continuous region surrounding the germicidal light source.
Abstract:
A roman shade fold forming batten including retaining means (1) to receive and releasably retain a fold of material (8) formed tansversely in a length of material; and suspension mounting means (7) located at one or more predetermined locations on the retaining means to receive suspension means (9).
Abstract:
Connector (10a, 10b, l0g, l0e, l0f, 10c) apparatus for wall panels (12a, 12b, 12d, 12e) are disclosed herein. An example room divider (16) includes a first curtain (12a), a second curtain (12b) spaced from the first curtain, and a connector (10a) to couple the first curtain and the second curtain. The connector includes a first flange (52), a second flange (54) and a web (56), the web (56) lying between the first flange (52) and the second flange (54) such that the first flange, the second flange and the web overlap each other. A first pocket (66) is defined by the first flange and the web, where the first curtain (12a) extends into the first pocket (66) between the first flange and the web. A second pocket (68) is defined by the second flange and the web, where the second curtain (12b) extends into the second pocket (68) between the second flange and the web. A fastener (74) coupled to the connector, where the fastener (74) penetrates the first curtain (12a), the second curtain (12b), the web (56), the first flange (52) and the second flange (54).

Abstract:
A curtain assembly comprises a rotatable drive element wherein at least one helical guide structure is formed on, or into, the outer surface of the drive element. A drive attachment element having a structure that communicates with the helical guide structure to move the drive attachment element axially along the drive element when the drive element is rotated. Specific embodiments incorporate either a manual or motor-driven rotation assembly for rotating the drive element. Further specific embodiments involve a helical guide structure that comprises a helical groove and a structure that comprises a tooth that engages with the helical groove. Further specific embodiments relate to a system with linked horizontal drapery panels having varying characteristics that are moved independently by a common drive system.
Abstract:

Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention relates to a motorized system for moving vertical blinds, curtains, draperies, or other window coverings. Specific embodiments can, optionally, also be manually operated. When motorized, the power supply can be batteries stored or housed in a tube or portion of a shaft, with a spring biased mechanism to assist during removal and/or loading of the batteries. In a specific embodiment, the stop can be triggered by the user to remove one battery at a time, and can allow the user to load batteries in a manner in which the battery or batteries already loaded in the chamber are held in the chamber. A specific embodiment incorporates a drapery tube with a hollow interior, or drapery shaft with one or more hollow portions, to form an enclosure that can house the motor and the power supply, such as batteries. If desired, the motor controls and an optional RF receiver for the motor can also be housed within the tube. In an embodiment, the batteries can be easily changed or replaced through the end of the tube or shaft, wherein the system has a stop, or release trigger, that can allow only one battery at a time to be loaded or unloaded, to assist in loading and unloading the batteries. In an embodiment, an end cap, such as a twist lock end cap can be positioned over the end of the tube or shaft when batteries are not being loaded or unloaded.
