Abstract:
According to one aspect of the invention, a method for directing the use of a sprayer includes the step of directing a user to affix a sprayer to a neck of a water bottle (114) via an attachment mechanism (112). The method further includes the step of directing the user to adjust the attachment mechanism (112) to change the internal geometry thereof and attach the sprayer to the neck of the bottle.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a fragrance or paint sprayer. The sprayer, comprises a spraying mechanism, at least two liquid containers, a liquid adjusting mechanism, and liquid feeding members; the spraying mechanism having a knob for activating a pump or releasing a valve for dispensing a liquid coming from an inlet to an outlet; the liquid feeding member has at least two liquid feeding tubes, one end of each of the at least two liquid feeding tubes is in liquid communication with each of the at least two liquid containers respectively, and the other end of each of the at least two liquid feeding tubes is jointed and connected to the inlet of the spraying mechanism; the liquid adjustment mechanism comprising two sets of adjoining sloped surfaces and sets of rollers are in contact with the two flexible portions of each of at least two liquid feeding tubes and when moving from right to left change sectional areas of the inside space of the flexible portions in such a way that amount of liquid supplied from each of the at least two liquid containers through each of the at least two liquid feeding tubes is adjusted. When flow of liquid from one feeding tube increases by the adjusting mechanism, the flow from the other feeding tube decreases in a way that the total amount of the liquid supplied by at least the two feeding tubes are substantially constant. In practice it is possible to mix two liquids such as two different perfumes with different fragrances or mix two different color paints to create a new fragrance and or paint color.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a dosage dispenser for dosing at least two constituents that are conveyed from a receiving compartment allocated thereto via a respective pump unit (12a, 12b). The mixture ratio is adjusted via a transmission element (38), whereby the point of engagement of said transmission element can be displaced in relation to both pump units.
Abstract:
A proportioning system (20) includes first and second cylinder and piston arrangements (26, 28) with an actuator (30) operably engaging the first and second cylinder and piston arrangements (26, 28). By changing the diameter and/or stroke of the pistons (54, 56), the mix ratio of two dispensed fluids changes. By changing the pivot point (32) of the actuator (30), the stroke length can be changed. The proportioning system (20) also includes a safety mechanism which prevents a concentrated fluid from being dispensed should the reservoir of diluting fluid be depleted.
Abstract:
A bottle interlock assembly is provided in which the bottles remain connected together during any striking in any axial orientation. The bottles may be separated and reassembled to refill and/or replace one or both of the bottles. Such a stable bottle connection or interlock assembly preferably has two distinct and different connection assemblies, e.g., a slide and snap. A first interlock connection may include a projection and correspondingly shaped slot to slidingly receive the projection. A second interlock connection may include a protrusion and a correspondingly shaped recess adapted to receive the protrusion or snap together. The first interlock connection prevents the bottles from separating along the x-axis while the second interlock connection prevents the bottles from slidingly separating along the y-axis. The combination of the first and second interlocking connections accurately aligns and keeps the bottles together without the need for additional components.
Abstract:
A manually actuated pump dispenser for dispensing a mixture of air and at least one other fluid, the dispenser comprising a final outlet, a cylinder (722), a plunger assembly (714) slidably received in the cylinder to define within the cylinder a main pump chamber (724) of variable volume, a final outlet including an outlet valve arrangement, an air inlet for admitting ambient air into the main pump chamber, wherein the plunger assembly (714) comprises a plunger body and a traveller member (752) mounted to the plunger body within the cylinder, at least part of the traveller member being movable relative to the plunger body to define with the plunger body a fluid dosing chamber (772) of variable volume, a fluid dosing chamber inlet connected to a fluid source and a fluid dosing chamber outlet through which the fluid can be dispensed together with pressurised air from the main pump chamber.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a dosing dispenser (1) for multicomponent mixtures in which the components are accommodated in cartridges (14). A pump (18) is assigned to each cartridge (14). Said pump dips with the pump base thereof into an indentation (108) of the cartridge (14) thus minimizing the axial length of the dosing dispenser (1).
Abstract:
A dispenser having at least two compartments (12, 54) wherein the amount of product dispensed by pumps (14, 48) from at least one of the compartments (12, 54) can be adjusted prior to dispensing. Advantageously, products in both compartments (12, 54) are dispensed using the same actuator. Different volumes of product can be dispensed from at least one of the chambers (12, 54) even through the volume of product dispensed from the other chamber need not be varied and even though the same actuator may be used to effect the dispensing of product.
Abstract:
A composition and method are used to treat articles suspected of contamination with bacterial spores. The composition and method are effective against bacterial spores selected from C. diff., C. botulinum, C. sporogenes, B. cereus, and B. subtilis . The article can be a textile or a hard surface. The method includes preparing a first use solution by mixing ether amine in water and a second use solution by mixing percarboxylic acid in water; applying the first use solution to the article; and applying the second use solution to the article. An alternative method includes preparing a mixture of ether amine, percarboxylic acid, and water, and applying the mixture to the article.
