A spray gun reservoir connector system. The system includes a reservoir lid, a spray gun inlet, and complementary first and second connector formats. The first and second connector formats are provided with one of either the lid or the spray gun inlet. The first format includes a plurality of retention structures each defining a capture region. The retention structures are collectively arranged in a circular pattern. The second format includes a plurality of lock structures each including a shim body configured to selectively interface with the capture regions. The connector formats are configured to provide wedged engagement between the lock structures and corresponding ones of the retention structures upon rotation of the spray gun inlet relative to the lid. The lid may include a spout. The retention and lock structures are radially spaced outside of the spout, and the spout may have an inner diameter of not less than 22 mm.

A spray gun cup receptacle is disclosed comprising an open end for receiving a liner within a cavity and a base end opposite the open end. The sidewall comprises two apertures through which the cavity is visible from outside the spray gun cup receptacle. The two apertures are divided one above the other by a brace member, at least a portion of which is disposed at a brace member angle a relative to the base plane. Also disclosed are improved lids for spray gun cups, and improved connections between the lid(s) and spray gun cup receptacles.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Spritzpistole (1) zum Zerstäuben von Flüssigkeiten (2), die mittels eines Luftstroms (6) und einer durch einen Abzugbügel (3) verstellbaren Düsennadel innerhalb eines Flüssigkeitsbehälters (4) einer Zerstäuberdüse (5) zugeführt wird, wobei der Luftstrom (6) durch eine der Spritzpistole (1) zugeordnete Einrichtung (7) zur Erzeugung des Luftstroms (6) und deren elektrischen Antrieb (8) erzeugbar und der Zerstäuberdüse (5) über einen Luftkanal (9) innerhalb der Spritzpistole (1) zuführbar ist, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Einrichtung (7) zur Erzeugung des Luftstroms (6) einen Radialverdichter mit einem Verdichterrad (13) umfasst, das von einem spiralförmigen Verdichtergehäuse (14) mit einem schneckenförmigen Strömungskanal umschlossen ist.

Nozzle assemblies (10) for spray guns are disclosed. The nozzle assemblies (10) generally include a fluid outlet (100) extending along a fluid axis (102), the fluid outlet (100) including a fluid aperture (104) and a fluid side wall (164) defining the fluid aperture (104), an atomizing aperture (108) adjacent the fluid side wall (164) and at least partially surrounding the fluid axis (102), an atomizing inlet (110) configured to receive a pressurized gas, and an adjustment member (150) located on the nozzle assembly (10) and movable to: (i) an atomizing position such that the atomizing inlet (110) is in communication with the atomizing aperture (108), and (ii) a non-atomizing position such that the atomizing inlet (110) is not in communication with the atomizing aperture (108). The foregoing nozzle assemblies (810) allow dispensing of fluid coating media in both spray and bead patterns with improved ease of cleaning, superior spray performance, and adaptability with existing spray gun platforms.

The paint reservoir assembly can include a paint reservoir and a cap configured to engage the paint reservoir. The paint reservoir assembly further includes a structural element for engaging a paint spray gun to form a tactile feedback mechanism. The tactile feedback mechanism can provide a tactile indication to a user as the paint reservoir assembly is engaged with the paint spray gun.

A method of using a paint cup assembly with a paint sprayer includes filling a paint cup assembly with paint, closing the paint cup assembly, inverting the paint cup assembly, and engaging the paint cup assembly with the paint sprayer. The paint cup assembly includes a spring loaded valve to prevent paint from leaking from the paint cup assembly when the paint cup assembly is inverted.

A paint cup assembly for a paint sprayer is disclosed and includes a cap and a paint liner configured to engage cap. The paint liner includes a hollow body having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is closed and the distal end is open. Further, the paint liner comprises a plurality of indicia spaced apart along a length of the paint liner and each of the indicia represent an incremental change in an internal volume of the paint liner.
