Abstract:
Pneumatic door skins tool (14, 16) that uses air power (10) to bend an automobile door skin edge (not shown) with little effort. The tool (14, 16) is fully adjustable and has manual controls (21, 36, 46) to allow a person to complete the task in a minimum amount of time with a minimal amount of effort.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a repair device (1) for repairing a dent in a surface of a sheet metal structure. The repair device comprises a stand (2, 48) to be placed on the surface of the sheet metal structure, a pulling mechanism (3), which is connected to the stand (2, 48), a welding head (14) comprising at least one electrically conductive grounding connection (11) and at least one electrically conductive pulling electrode (9), suitable to be welded to the surface of the sheet metal structure by a welding current. The welding current is generated by a welding machine (5). The pulling electrode (9) is mechanically connected to the pulling mechanism (3) such that the pulling electrode (9) is movable by the pulling mechanism (3) away from said surface.
Abstract:
A vehicle repair device capable of safely and easily extracting a damaged part of a panel face to a specified normal position, comprising a first puller (2) having a first fixing part (21) to be fixed to the damaged part and raising the first fixing part while being fixed to the damaged part within the specified range and a second puller (3) having a second fixing part (31) to be fixed to the damaged part and raising the second fixing part while being fixed to a local position of the damaged part on the panel face to be raised by the second puller.
Abstract:
A method of repairing a sheet metal (14) of a car body (10), comprising the steps of removing a damaged part, folding down a portion near the end part of a repair member (22) to which the damaged part is connected or a portion near the end part of the sheet metal using a sheet metal repair tool, and connecting the portion near the end part of the repair member to the portion near the end part of the sheet metal (14).
Abstract:
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for straightening up deformed metal and/or plastic elements after having undergone an excessive mechanical stress such as, for example, a shock. It comprises at least one supporting element (1) provided with means (17 to 20) for temporarily fixing, to the rigid structure of the vehicle and/or its body, a counter-brace element to which an actuator (14) may be fastened, said actuator being optionally provided with a jig (16) or the like and a positionally and/or orientationally adjustable mechanical linkage between said supporting element (1) and said counter-brace element, this linkage being designed so that at least a fraction of the force exerted by the actuator (14) on the counter-brace element is retransmitted onto the supporting element (1).
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for removing dents in sheet metal, which comprises a lever (1), which can be supported on a support station (2), on the sheet metal. A handle (6) is arranged on the end of the lever. A drawing element may be connected to the lever (1), which may be connected to an adapter (11), which is connected to the sheet metal.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for removing dents from sheet metal parts, in particular, from painted parts of a vehicle body, whereby the sheet metal part (3) is locally heated, in an essentially contactless manner, in the area of a dent (B) such that a mechanical tension gradient generated by the local heating causes the dent to straighten back into the original shape of the sheet metal part.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a body repair apparatus (1) for working on sheet metals, in particular for repairing motor vehicle body work damage. Said apparatus comprises a metal electrode element capable of being temporarily fixed on a metal sheet or on the steel plate by spot welding. It further comprises a driving device (2) including a base element (15) and a maintaining unit, in particular a handle, and a pin (5) connected to the base element (15) or to the driving device (2). At least an electromagnet (16) magnetically co-operating with a lifting device (17) is placed in the base element (15). The driving device (2), in particular the electromagnet (16), is connected to a current source or a control device for powering the electromagnet (16) so as to generate a tractive motion or a tractive force of the lifting device (17) on the pin (5).
