Abstract:
A rigid cartridge (200) for universal holding system comprises a cylindrical body (201), a guiding and locating body (204) connected to bottom side of cylindrical body (201), and a combination screw (205) having a left hand thread (207) and a right hand thread (208). Wherein the cylindrical body (201) includes a flat (203) for locking the cartridge (200) with a cutter body (209) by using a locking screw. This cartridge is simple in design, and is possible to adjust in micron level, and can be used universally in multiple applications.
Abstract:
A cutting tool includes a cutting insert, the insert including a cutting edge. The cutting tool also includes a cassette including an insert clamp for clamping the insert relative to an abutment surface of the cassette, and a generally cylindrical base portion. The cutting tool also includes a tool holder body, the tool holder body having a cylindrical opening in which the base portion of the cassette is disposed. A cassette clamp including a wedge is provided for clamping the cassette relative to the tool holder body. The cutting edge extends beyond a periphery of the tool holder body when the insert is clamped relative to the abutment surface of the cassette and the cassette is clamped relative to the tool holder body.

Ein um seine Achse rotierendes Werkzeug (100) mit wenigstens einem radial verschieblich angeordneten Halter (200) für wenigstens eine Schneide, Wendeplatte (300), Schneidplatte oder dergleichen, wobei der Halter (200) wenigstens ein Führungselement zur Führung des Halters (200) aufweist ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Führungselement wenigstens ein über wenigstens eine Umfangsfläche des Halters (200) vorspringender Führungszapfen (204) ist, der in wenigstens einer in dem Werkzeug (100) ausgebildeten Öffnung (110) verschieblich geführt ist.
Abstract:
In view of the foregoing, an embodiment herein provides a rigid modular holding with axial and radial compensation for multiple and universal application of all machining processes, engineering, machine building, and construction fields where ever applicable for rotary and static systems. Design of modular holding includes male and female portions of joining parts machined to the required shape and clearances to accommodate modular locking rigidly with face butting. Radial and axial run out adjustments is controlled by the grub screws and run out compensation can be achieved within micron. An Area used for clamping and designed within the area of joining parts results reduction in material and processing cost. Since, the material is not protruding out from the surface of the joining parts, esthetically looks good and convenient for designing multiple applications as it is not possible at present.

To permit highly precise machining of a valve seat (26) and a valve guide, the combination tool has an extensible chuck (4) that is in particular hydraulic and is designed to hold a fine lathe for machining the valve guide. Several cutting plates (20) that are positioned in particular tangentially are situated around the periphery of said tool. The plates are preferably fixed in a cassette (14), which can be adjusted both in an axial direction (29) and a radial direction (31).

A cutting head for a rotating cutting tool for metal cutting operations. The cutting head has an axially adjustable cartridge which is an integral single piece. A slit divides the cartridge into a clamping portion and a main body portion, the clamping portion being resiliently connected to the main body portion. An insert pocket for retaining a cutting insert is formed by a widening of the slit so that the cutting insert is securely retained in the insert pocket between the main body portion and the clamping portion.
