Abstract:
A protective casing for a shaving head includes a plastic container defining a storage region and having a sealing surface around an entrance to the storage region. The container has a first side wall, a second side wall opposite the first side wall, a first end wall, a second end wall opposite the first end wall and a bottom wall extending between the first side wall, the second side wall, the first end wall and the second end wall. The container is sized to contain the shaving head. A first male connection member extends from the first side wall and a first female connection member extends from the first side wall. A second male connection member extends from the second side wall and a second female connection member extends from the second side wall.
Abstract:
A razor cartridge (14) including at least one blade (20) positioned between the guard and the cap where the visible surface of the at least one razor blade includes a printed object (34). The printed object may extend continuously along the length of the razor blade and/or may have multiple portions having a comb-like structure. The printed object appears as a solid object to a viewer's naked eye. The solid object includes a plurality of printed ink dots not visible to the viewer's naked eye. The printed object of flexible, polymer ink may act as a guard element on the razor blade which helps with glide and to manage a user's skin (e.g., bulge) during shaving.
Abstract:
A shaving blade assembly comprising a blade unit (14) and a skin contact member (16) and a razor comprising a razor handle and such a shaving blade assembly, where the blade unit (14) comprises at least one shaving blade (20) having a cutting edge (22). The blade unit (14) can have a blade unit skin contact surface area, the blade unit (14) and the skin contact member (16) having a shaving blade assembly (18) skin contact surface area. The ratio between the shaving blade assembly skin contact surface area and the blade unit skin contact surface area is comprised between 2 and 3.1. The skin contact member (16) can comprise a leading planar surface (34A) and a trailing planar surface (36A) defining a contact plane (P1), and the contact plane (P1) and the shaving plane (P2) are parallel and the distance (D) between the contact plane (P1) and the shaving plane (P2) is comprised between 0.2 mm and 0.6 mm.
Abstract:
Shaving systems are disclosed that include a replaceable shaving assembly and a cartridge connecting structure for connecting the shaving assembly to a handle. In preferred implementations, the cartridge connecting structure has a magnetic portion configured to help draw the cartridge onto the handle and retain the cartridge in place when the razor is not in contact with the skin, and a mechanical engagement that provides the necessary retention forces required to keep the system intact during shaving.
Abstract:
What is claimed is: a sanitary hygiene device for oral cavity care, combined with a blade, said device relating to personal use products and serving to meet the sanitary hygiene requirements of consumers. The device, in the same way as the known devices, comprises a toothbrush comprising a head with bristles thereon, at least one opening in the head through which the bristles are fed, a container with paste, said container being arranged in the upper part of a handle and being in communication with the head, and a control element with an operating button. Said device differs from the known devices in that the lower part of the handle comprises a blade which is mounted on guides with a swivel hinge which has the possibility of fixing the blade in an end position. One or two cavities in the form of containers for a foam/gel for the blade and a liquid soap which are formed with metering means and openings for discharging said foam/gel and liquid soap is/are arranged in the lower part of the handle. The head can be designed to be removable or to have a neck for breaking off the head. A cavity in which the removable head of the toothbrush can be arranged can be provided in the body of the handle. The handle can be produced with a detachable connection formed between the cavities in the handle, namely the cavity with the toothpaste and the cavity or two cavities with the foam/gel for the blade and with the soap. A cavity in which the fold-away parts are arranged, namely the part with the blade and the part with the toothbrush, can be formed in the body of the handle.
Abstract:
A method for measuring the cutting force on a fiber. The method includes the steps of: providing a blade having an edge; providing a fiber mount for holding the fiber; providing at least one sensor connected to the fiber mount; moving the blade toward the fiber and cutting the fiber; and measuring the cutting force on the fiber with the at least one sensor.
Abstract:
The invention is directed to a safety shaving razor comprising a detachable cartridge provided with angled blades with tension members between blades connected to a handle by coupling means. The blades are arranged in such manner that at least three different angled cuts across the razor head face is provided per stroke for an easier, closer and smoother shave.
