Abstract:
Wood slitting tool with a motor chainsaw drive for slitting wood pieces from wood cranks, driving by means of a slitting cone of wedge secured to the guiding blade (8) of a chainsaw a chain toothed whell (9) arranged in the slitter, to which is secured either a conical wheel-gear (28) enabling to drive by means of a pair of conical wheels (10, 10') the shaft (6) of the drive shaft (11) int he slitting unit in the locking nut (5) and the conical segment (16) in the left and right travel, a conical point (21) with outer thread, or an eccentric shaft (9') with a drive rod (12A) enabling to form a slitting wedge (20A) with the actuation principle of a pneumatic hammer.
Abstract:
An attachment makes it possible to convert a hand-operated power-driven chain saw into a free cutter or similar. The attachment comprises a flat fastening element which can be fastened to the chain saw and can replace the guide bar. An elongated force-transmitting device extending from the front of the chain saw is connected at one end to the fastening element and to the toothed wheel of the chain saw by a chain and a second toothed wheel, and carries a free-cutting head or similar at the other end.
Abstract:
An adapter (50) for quickly and easily converting a portable, 18.4 cm wormdrive circular saw into a beam cutting chain saw, whereby to increase the cutting capacity of the saw (1) from about 5.7 cm to about 30.5 cm. The adapter (50) carries a standard cutting chain (52) and includes a hinged attachment assembly (72) to be removably connected to the existing slide bars (8) of the saw (1). The attachment assembly (72) comprises a pivotal hinge (84) and a hinge attachment plate (74). The hinge (84) and/or the adjustment plate (74) may be pivoted relative to one another to vary the effective length of the hinged attachment assembly (72) and thereby facilitate the connection of the adapter (50) to the slide bars (8) of the saw (1). By adjusting the length of the hinged attachment assembly, the adapter can be selectively sized for use with virtually all commercially available power saws (1), regardless of the radial distance between the existing motor shaft (16) and the slide bars (8) of the saw (1).
Abstract:
An outdoor handheld power tool formed as a split power tool (10) is provided. The split power tool can be used in a chainsaw configuration or a polesaw configuration. The split power tool includes a handle end (12), a pole (16), and a tool end (14), wherein each of these components is releasably connectable to the others. The attachment assemblies (46, 78) of each of the components allows the cutting saw of the tool end to be aligned with the handle (28, 20) of the handle end when in the chainsaw configuration, yet the cutting saw (72) of the tool end is oriented at an angle relative to the handle of the handle end when in a polesaw configuration with the pole extending between the handle end and the tool end.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a chainsaw attachment. A preferred embodiment comprises an attachment for a chainsaw motor comprising a bar (2), a chain (3), a drive mechanism (5) and attachment device for an implement, wherein the chain is capable of interacting with the drive mechanism of the attachment, characterised in that an implement attached to the attachement device can be driven by the drive mechanism which in turn is driven by the chain interacting with the chainsaw drive device.
Abstract:
A cutting tool (10) of generally circular shape is made by investment casting. Removable teeth (15) are secured in through-holes (14) in an annular support (13) and may be removed by removing locking nuts (18). The teeth (15) are angled transversely relative to the plane of the hub (11) so that their respective cutting edges overlap to give a resultant cut wider than the annular support (13).
