摘要: Material for packaging - and package or receptacle made of such material - that contains a particular aluminized polymeric film with emissivity of equal to, or less than 0.10 and yet sufficiently thin to withstand and satisfy industrial requirements of the recycling process due to substantially complete oxidization of aluminum during the recycling. An optional protective coating (less than one micron in thickness) may be added to protect aluminum in the film from corrosion during the normal use of the packaging. Protective coating is configured to not raise emissivity of the aluminized surface above the 0.10 value and, at the same time, to still allow for the aluminum material it covers to be removed due to becoming fully oxidized and corroded in the heat and at humidity levels used in the recycling/repulping process. Proposed configuration permits the aluminum of the packaging material to be included in the recycled portion of the packaging material.

The veil (10) further includes a small amount of a polymeric or resinous binder for binding the fibres and the particles together. Such fire retardant veil (10) can be incorporated into composite laminates, prepregs, and fibrous preforms (12) configured for liquid resin infusion.

摘要: A surfacing material that is capable of ultraviolet (UV) protection. The surfacing material is a multilayer structure composed of a woven peel ply fabric interposed between a first curable resin layer and a second curable resin layer. The surfacing material is designed to be co-cured with a composite substrate, for example, a prepreg layup. Upon curing, the peel ply fabric combined with the outer thermoset layer function as a UV protective layer. When the peel ply fabric and the outer thermoset layer are removed, a paint-ready surface is revealed. Such surface does not require any surface preparation prior to painting.

摘要: Biaxially oriented film and metal laminate composite thereof useful for manufacturing food containers with good resistance to blushing during steam sterilization, comprising a blend of PBT and PET and also incorporating color pigment comprising polar functional groups. The films possess improve resistance to trans-esterification during melt processing, resulting in enhanced crystallinity levels present in the laminated film which leads to little or no blush discoloration during steam sterilization.

摘要: An unconsolidated impact and penetration resistant laminate comprises a plurality of cross-plied sheets, each cross-piled sheet further comprising (i) first and second layers of fibrous or non-fibrous ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene and (ii) first and second layers of thermoplastic adhesive, each adhesive layer having a basis weight of no greater than 5 gsm, wherein (a) the layers of polyethylene and thermoplastic adhesive alternate within the sheet, (b) at least 50 percent of the polyethlyene layers are arranged such that the orientation of the first polyethylene layer is offset with respect to the orientation of the second polyethylene layer, and (c) the plurality of cross-plied sheets form a stack that, when subjected to compaction at a pressure of 255 bar and a temperature of 132 degrees C, will not suffer a pressure loss greater than 8 bar within the first two minutes as measured by Test Method B.
