The invention relates to a flexographic printing press comprising at least four printing cylinders (06) which are driven by one respective driving motor (121). The at least four printing cylinders (06) cooperate directly with a common satellite cylinder (05) when a web of material is printed. Each printing cylinder (06) supports at least one flexographic printing plate (29) while each journal (63; 64) of each printing cylinder (06) is mounted in at least one linear bearing (70) located on a lateral frame (11; 12) and can be moved perpendicular to the axis of rotation thereof. A stator (267) of the driving motor (121) can be moved along with the linear bearing (70) or the printing cylinder (06), the driving motor (121) being embodied as a synchronous motor (121) that is excited by a permanent magnet. An independent hydraulic actuator is assigned to each printing cylinder (06) to change the position thereof while the at least one linear bearing (70) is arranged in a bearing unit (14) which is placed on the respective interior wall of the lateral frame (11; 12). The journals (63; 64) of each printing cylinder (06) do not penetrate the lateral frames (11; 12).
