The present invention relates to bumper guard and side post guard apparatuses for use with an auto-rack railcar side panel. The bumper guard and side post guard apparatuses prevent vehicles from being damaged when stored and transported within an auto-rack railcar, such as when vehicle doors are opened, where vehicle doors may otherwise contact the side panels and side posts of the auto-rack railcar. Methods of using the same are further provided.

The invention relates to a valve structure for a sack or the like to be filled with air, which valve structure comprises an essentially cylindrical tubular part (2) extending hermetically from the inside to the outside of the sack and having external threads (21) on the portion outside the sack, a plug with internal threads (13) to be screwed on the external threads (21) of the tubular part (2) to close the end (24) of the tubular part hermetically, and a filling valve (15) in the middle of the plug (1). To facilitate and accelerate the emptying of the sack, the present invention is characterized in that the plug (1) has several air exhaust holes (14) within the area surrounding the filling valve (15), and that at the end of the tubular part (2) facing the plug (1) there is an inner, preferably annular flange part (23), the upper surface of which is pressed hermetically against the lower surface of the plug closing the exhaust holes (14) of the plug, when the plug (1) is entirely screwed in its place.

The load securement system includes a pallet onto which freight can be loaded and a shroud (18) for surrounding the freight on the pallet. The system can also include a drop down void filler for filling space wherein the drop down void filler (24) can be positioned along a longitudinal plane of the transportation vehicle between two pallets loaded with freight. Panels (44), such as, for example, honeycomb panels, can be positioned both along a transverse plane of the transportation vehicle as well as a longitudinal plane of the transportation vehicle. Bulkhead panels (52) can also be positioned along a transverse plane of the transportation vehicle between two pallets loaded with freight and can fill space and further secure the freight. Additionally, an airbag (58) can be positioned along a transverse plane of the transportation vehicle between two bulkhead panels and can also fill space and secure the freight.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Eisenbahngüterwagen zum Transport von Sattelanhängern (3), welcher eine Aufstandsfläche (1) für die Räder des Sattelanhängers (3) und einen Stützbock (2) zur Abstützung des Zugsattel des Sattelanhängers (3) aufweist. Der Stützbock (2) des Eisenbahngüterwagens ist konstruktiv derartig ausgestaltet und am Eisenbahngüterwagen befestigt, dass er die während dem Transport unter normalen Betriebsbebahngüterwagen wirkenden horizontal gerichteten Zug und/oder Schubkräften gesamthaft auf den Zugsattelzapfen des Sattelanhängers (3) übertragen kann. Mit derartigen Eisenbahngüterwagen lässt sich das Beladen am Startort und das Entladen am Zielort auf einfache und sichere Art und Weise in kurzer Zeit bewerkstelligen und es können auch Sattelanhängertypen mit tief herabreichenden Unterbauten transportiert werden, da die sonst erforderlichen Radvorleger entfallen.
