Abstract:
A tread pattern for a vehicle track, such as an endless track for earth moving equipment, comprises a plurality of blocks. Each block includes two lateral traction portions extending from a center traction portion in substantially opposite directions. The two lateral traction portions are longitudinally aligned. In some examples, each lateral traction portion may define a T-shape. For example, the lateral traction portions of each block may define a protrusion to define the "T" shape, and, in some examples, the protrusions may extend in opposite longitudinal directions. In some examples, the lateral traction portions of each block may be the same shape, where one lateral traction portion may be oriented at about 180 degrees relative to the other lateral traction portion.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a vehicle for transporting a load along a magnetizable wall, which vehicle is configured to be urged against the wall by magnetic forces, comprising a frame, at least four wheels bearing-mounted in the frame, a motor for driving at least one of the wheels, at least one magnet connected to the frame and load-bearing means for supporting the load, wherein at least four of the wheels are bearing-mounted in the frame at the corners of a rectangular structure and the magnet is placed inside the rectangular structure. Due to the placing of the magnet inside the rectangular structure the attractive force generated by the magnet is applied within the reactive forces generated by the at least four wheels, so that an inherent stability is obtained. The invention further relates to a device provided with such a vehicle and to a method to be performed with such a vehicle.
Abstract:
A supporting device (9) for a crawler vehicle (1), in particular for grooming ski slopes, is mounted between a rear wheel (4) and a front wheel (5), resting along the inside of a traction portion (8) of the track (3), and has a plurality of rollers (14) much smaller in diameter than the rear wheel (4); a belt (15) looped around the rollers (14); and a structure (16) designed to support the rollers (14) and to push the rollers (14) and the belt (15) against the inside of the traction portion (8) of the track (3).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a track pad for a chain of a chain wheel drive, the track pad having a bearing surface provided with at least one grouser (1, 2), extending in the lateral direction of the bearing surface, wherein at least one flat part (4, 5) is provided next to at least one grouser part (1, 2) in the lateral direction of the bearing surface. Further, the invention comprises a track pad for a chain of a chain wheel drive, the track pad having a bearing surface provided with at least one grouser (32, 33) protruding from a base plate (40), the grouser (32, 33) extending in the lateral direction of the bearing surface, wherein the bearing surface of the base plate has a profile in the lateral direction.
Abstract:
A cross-link for a track of a tracked vehicle, such as a tracked carrier vehicle. The track comprises a plurality of belts spaced apart to accommodate a plurality of wheels of the tracked vehicle, the belts having a ground-facing side for facing the ground. The cross-link comprises an elongate member for mounting to the belts to interconnect the belts. The elongate member has a belt-engaging face contacting the belts on the ground-facing side when the elongate member is mounted to the belts. The cross-link also comprises a sole mountable to the elongate member. The sole comprises a ground- engaging portion for engaging the ground. A ground contact area of the sole may be substantially different from a projected area of the elongate member onto the ground. For example, a length of the ground-engaging portion of the sole may be substantially different from a length of the elongate member.
