Abstract:
In some examples, a shoe pad for a grouser of a vehicle track defines a slot configured to receive a bracket that is configured to attach the shoe pad to a grouser. For example, a first arm of a bracket may be inserted into the slot and a second arm of the bracket may be configured to contact an interior side of a grouser of a vehicle track to attach the shoe pad to the grouser. In some examples, the shoe pad and the bracket may be held to the grouser with the aid of a bolt, which bolt may not extend through the grouser, but, rather, may merely engage with an exterior side of the grouser. In this way, the shoe pad may be able to be attached to a grouser without requiring one or more holes to be present in the grouser, while still providing a relatively tight fit with the grouser the shoe pad is configured to cover.
Abstract:
A ground engaging track (12) for a track-type machine (8) includes a set of identical standard track shoes (26) each having a relatively narrow shoe footprint, and a sweeping track shoe (28) having a relatively wide shoe footprint. The sweeping track shoe (28) is connectable via track links (38) with the standard track shoes (26) in an endless chain configuration such that the sweeping track shoe (28) juts outwardly of the standard track shoes (26), for sweeping debris from a clearance between the track (12) and a main frame (10) of the track-type machine (8). The sweeping track shoe (28) includes bolting apertures (42a, 42b) formed therein and communicating between an upper shoe surface (44) and a ground contacting shoe surface (46), the bolting apertures (42a, 42b) being arranged in a directional link bolting pattern. The directional link bolting pattern defines a minor shoe axis and a major shoe axis, and the sweeping shoe body (40) may be configured such that an inboard sweeping edge (52) is spaced further than an outboard edge (50) from the minor shoe axis.
Abstract:
An elastic flat tread provided with a core (1, 11) fitted to a link (6) or a core (115) fitted to a metallic plate (9A) fitted to a link (8). End parts (1a, 1b; 11a, 11h; 115a, 115b) of the core (1, 11, 115) in the lengthwise direction are bent toward the side not in contact with the ground. Even if the vehicle runs on a protruding object during traveling, the flat tread does not crack.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Low ground pressure tire chains for skid-steer loaders and other construction machinery. A track (12) for parallel drive wheeled vehicles (10) having spaced apart pairs of wheels (14, 16) assembled with a plurality of base units (24) pivotally interconnected in series by opposing links (26), each base unit comprising a pair of opposing side supports (32) with a wedge portion (36) extending towards the opposing side support to wedgingly receive a portion of a tire in a gap between the opposing side supports. A pair of spaced-apart transverse cross members (34) extending between the side supports and define cavities (50) between a leading edge and the wedge portion for receiving fasteners to secure a bottom plate (52) to the base unit. The assembled track mounts around the tires of the loader to provide traction and floatation of the loader during operation in mud or sand.

Abstract:
A track assembly (16) for a machine comprising track pads (20) with a ground engaging surface (118) opposite link engaging surfaces (112, 114) and a lug (116) protruding between the link engaging surfaces. The track assembly includes pairs of links (220, 222) disposed on the link engaging surfaces of the track pads. The pairs of links include an outer link (230, 234) having an outer bushing end (238, 246) and an outer pin end (240, 248), and an inner link (232, 236) spaced-apart from the outer link. The inner link has an inner bushing end (242, 250) and an inner pin end (244, 252). A distance between the inner bushing ends and the outer bushing ends is less than a distance between the inner pin ends and the respective outer pin ends. The track assembly includes pins (22) connecting the bushing ends of pairs of links to the pin ends of adjacent pairs of links forming endless chains (21, 23). The endless chains connect adjacent track pads in an endless loop.
