Abstract:
The innovation reveals a hydraulic aft door which, in addition to preventing the penetration of sea at the stern, also has the function of a tender lifter, gangway, platform for easier access to the water, and for carrying the tender. When mounted onboard, it takes up far less stern space than the currently known solutions. The aft door according to the invention is intended for mounting on sailboats with an open transom.
Abstract:
A watercraft comprises a hull (2) provided with a stern compartment (4) inside said hull, said compartment (4) being closed at least on the bottom by a movable portion (29) of a stern platform (27) arranged at one end of the compartment itself which opens up astern of the watercraft (1), wherein said movable portion (29) can be lowered relative to the hull (2) into the water where the watercraft is floating. Said movable portion (29) of the stern platform (27) shifts with a translational motion along the hull (2) without moving away therefrom.
Abstract:
Embodiments of a rescue boat are disclosed. A rescue boat can include a port pontoon, a starboard pontoon, and a deck, the deck being attachable to the port pontoon and the starboard pontoon. A method of launching the rescue boat includes placing a port pontoon, a starboard pontoon, and a deck in proximity close to a launch point; mating the deck with the port pontoon and the starboard pontoon; attaching the deck with the port pontoon and the starboard pontoon; mounting a motor on a motor mount on the deck; and launching the rescue boat formed by the port pontoon, the deck, and the starboard pontoon.
Abstract:
A system for handling reels (1) for laying elongated members on the bed of a body of water, and in particular for transferring reels (1) between an auxiliary structure (2) and a laying vessel (3), has a bridge (13) designed to connect the auxiliary structure (2) and the laying vessel (3); and actuators (14) for moving a reel (1) along and resting on the bridge (13).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a transfer system, ship and method for transferring persons and/or goods to and/or from a floating ship. The transfer system according to the invention comprises: -a pedestal; -a telescopic boom crane (TBC) connected to the pedestal; -a telescopic gangway (TGW) connected to the pedestal; -a control system for controlling the telescopic boom crane and the telescopic gangway. Goods can be transferred from this floating ship to another floating ship and a platform at shore or off-shore, for example.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device (1) for a divided ship ramp (2) that is foldably arranged between a ramp arrangement (6) pivotably mounted at the stern (4) or stem of the ship (3) and arranged to reach between the ship (3) and a quay (8) situated laterally displaced from the ship (3) and situated on the side of the ship (3), astern (9) or ahead (10), the ramp (2) being arranged to extend curved or angled in an extended driving position. According to the invention, the inner ramp portion (12) of the ramp (2) mounted to the ship (3) is mounted (17, 22 and 18, 23, respectively) on different levels at the mounting end side portions of said ramp portion (12) and the mountings (17, 22 and 18, 23, respectively) are longitudinally displaced (L) in relation to each other, as seen in relation to the length extension of the ramp.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device (1) at a turnably mounted ramp (3) or some other turnably mounted covering element at an opening (5) and which is actuatable by a number of fluid piston cylinder jacks (6, 7) to be turned between a turned-out opened position (I) and a turned-up closed position (II). According to the invention, pair-wise fluid piston cylinder jacks (6, 7) are mounted on each side of said ramp/covering element (3) and having mounting attachments (12- 15) displaced from each other as seen along the turning plane of the jacks and actuatable to turn the ramp/covering element (3) exceeding 90° between a vertical end position and a turned- down end position (I).
Abstract:
A gangway apparatus (10) for transfer between vessels or between a vessel (38) and a fixed structure such as an offshore construction or a quay is disclosed. The gangway apparatus (10) includes a gangway component (16) which is preferably buoyant and may be inflatable. The gangway component (16) is mounted on a skate or bogie and traverses a fixedly mounted runway (14) . The runway (14) may be inclined. Control means are provided for controlling the motion of the gangway component on the runway. These may include biasing means such as a counterweight. The apparatus is preferably mounted in a shipping container such as a 40' ISO container.
Abstract:
The multi-mode ship (100) uses bulk cargo flow-through vehicle decks (112, 114, 116, 118, 120, 124, 126) that are capable of supporting vehicles and other general cargo. Bulk cargo (160) is loaded into the multi-mode ship with a bulk cargo transport system (136). The bulk cargo flows downward through the vehicle decks and settles on the bottom (103) of the multi-mode ship, then piles upward through the vehicle decks until it reaches the desired load. The bulk cargo transport system also off-loads bulk cargo and includes conveyors, upper (240) and lower (214, 216, 234, 232, 226, 228, 230, 235), and at least one vertical conveyor (236, 238). Further, the multi-mode ship preferably includes liquid storage tanks (131, 133, 135, 137, 139, 501, 503, 505, 673) that are shaped to provide a funnel-like storage area within the cargo hold for funneling bulk cargo toward the lower conveyors of the bulk cargo transport system to provide efficient and complete unloading of bulk cargo.
