Abstract:
The present invention relates to a packaging unit (4, 6) for products like eggs, and a mould and method therefore. The packaging unit for products like eggs comprises: • - a carton made of moulded pulp with a bottom part (10) comprising compartments (48) for individual products, and a cover part (18) comprising top (26), front (20) and rear (24) surfaces; and; - a label (28) made of paperboard.
Abstract:
A method and a device for loading several layers of cartons (14) in a container (19) having side walls and a bottom (19’). The following steps are taken in accordance with the invention: a) bringing the cartons on a first conveyor (15) designed as an endless belt to a position above the container, b) supporting the cartons in a position above the container with a plurality of standards (10) projecting through apertures (21) in the bottom of the container, c) lowering the standards a distance corresponding to the height of a carton while conveying cartons resting thereupon, d) repeating the steps a-c until desired filling of the container is obtained, e) lowering the standards through the bottom of the container, so that one layer of cartons is resting against the bottom (19’) of the container. A first conveyor (15) designed as an endless belt is arranged for feeding the cartons, and a plurality of standards (10) are arranged projectable through apertures (21) in the bottom (19’) of the container. The standards are stepwise moveable in vertical paths downwardly while conveying cartons and takes in a lower position a position below the bottom of the container.

Abstract:
The invention is new technology in packaging machines providing a packaging without processing the different quantities of the product thermally (shrinking) in egg packing industry.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes a method and system for collecting data from multiple measuring points within equipment. Once collected, the data may be consolidated and stored in a database remotely. The data may then be used to optimize system performance either locally or across facilities. Such optimization may include determining the proper handling of packages of objects, such as eggs, that are not ideally marked or that are not properly packed. Such optimization may also include the resetting and/or recalibrating of laser systems within one or more facilities based on the data collected.
Abstract:
A method for marking an egg shell wherein a laser beam is directed onto the egg shell so as to discolor an outer layer of the egg shell without etching substantially into layers of the egg shell underneath the outer layer. The laser delivers a spot with a power density below about 2000 watts/sq. in. and a depth of an etching of the egg caused by the laser marking process does not exceed about 25 microns. InkJet printing may be added to the laser marking process or used instead of laser marking. Eggs may be marked in-carton, on a packer conveyor or on an apparatus fed by a packer conveyor, with eggs uniformly oriented in the package prior to (and after) printing. Marking is done in-carton, on-conveyor whether the marking is by laser, by ink, or both.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a gripping device (2) for placing boxes (1), in particular egg boxes, in an outer packaging, wherein the gripping device comprises a amobile frame (3); grippers (4) placed on both sides of the frame in such a way that in use the grippers are situated on both sides of the box, whereby the grippers can be moved between a box supporting position and an unloading position, wherein each gripper is formed by a mainly pen-shaped body with a hook-shaped end (6), whereby at least the hook-shaped end (6) can be rotated around the longitudinal axis of the gripper, and wherein the grippers on the one side of the box are attached staggeringly in relation to the grippers on the other side of the box.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes a system for an improved container for eggs as well as systems and methods for arranging eggs within a container. In a preferred embodiment, the present disclosure includes a container including a plurality of receptacles disposed in one or more rows, wherein each receptacle is constructed and arranged to hold an egg within a compartment of the receptacle so that the egg is substantially maintained in a resting orientation where a long axis of the egg is titled toward a rear portion of the container at an angle slightly offset from a vertical axis. Alternatively, the eggs may be arranged in alternating configurations. One or more laser systems may be configured to accommodate these egg configurations to achieve optimal laser marking on the eggs by reducing the angles of incidence between the directed radiant energy source and the surface of the egg.
Abstract:
The present disclosure includes a method and system for applying markings on a food product in such a manner to form a permanent marking thereon. The markings may include text, graphics, images, other types of indicia, and any combination thereof. In a preferred embodiment, the markings include freshness information, traceability data, historical processing information, other types of relevant source information, or any combination thereof. The markings are applied by any suitable marking device known in the art, such as laser-based or ink-based technologies. The source information is stored in memory, such as cloud-based memory, for later use, such as production planning, product recalls, other commercial and regulatory purposes, and the like.
