A bag carrying mechanism for a bag and insert combining apparatus for combining a stream of inserts with a stream of bags is provided. The bag carrying mechanism includes a plurality of bag holding arrangements operably coupled to one another for rotation about a rotational axis. Each bag holding arrangement includes first and second segments movable relative to one another and forming a receiving cavity therebetween. First and second holding features hold opposite sides of the bag within the receiving cavity and selectively hold the bag in an open position for receipt of an insert through an open end of the bag. Methods of using the bag carrying mechanism and systems incorporating the bag carrying mechanism are provided.

A pharmaceutical product can be distributed to respective patients in a plurality of jurisdictions. First and second jurisdictions can have different labeling requirements than each other. A plurality of inner containers each store the pharmaceutical product, the pharmaceutical product being in a dosage form and in a package approved by each jurisdiction of the plurality. An inner container can be sealed within a first outer container including labeling required by the first jurisdiction and not required by the second jurisdiction. Another inner container can be sealed within a second outer container including labeling required by the second jurisdiction and not required by the first jurisdiction. The sealed first and second outer containers respectively can be distributed to the first and second jurisdictions.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Überprüfung der Dichtigkeit einer fertiggestellten Verpackung, die eine Gasatmosphäre aufweist. Des Weiteren betrifft die vorliegende Erfindung eine Versorgungskette mit einer Verpackungsmaschine (1) mit einer Siegelstation (15), die eine Verpackung hermetisch verschließt und mit einer Druckkammer in der die Verpackung einer Gasatmosphäre ausgestzt wird, deren Druck und/oder Zusammensetzung sich vom Druck und/oder Zusammensetzung der Gasatmosphäre in der Verpackung unterscheidet.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Kalibrieren eines Sensors, der mindestens einen Bestandteil einer Gasatmosphäre in einer Verpackung, die aus einem Verpackungsmaterial gefertigt ist und in der sich eine Gaskonzentrationsindikatorsubstanz befindet, misst, wobei ein Volumen eines Gases mit einer bekannten Zusammensetzung zur Verfügung gestellt wird, in der sich die Gaskonzentrationsindikatorsubstanz befindet und zwischen Sensor und die Gaskonzentrationsindikatorsubstanz das Verpackungsmaterial vorgesehen ist, wobei die mit dem Sensor gemessene Konzentration zur Kalibrierung des Sensors herangezogen wird, in dem die Anzeige und/oder ein Signal des Sensors an die bekannte Zusammensetzung des Gases angepasst wird.
