Abstract: A folded food carton is formed from a matable, lay flat blank for retaining, transporting and serving hot food such as pizza. The blank includes an arrangement of end panels (20), side panels (38) and cover panels (26) foldable relative to a bottom panel (14) such that, in the erected carton, the cover panels overlap and are interlocked with the side panels by means of offset locking tabs (32). The end panels (20) slant upwardly and inwardly from the bottom panel to add rigidity and save material for the carton. The side panels (38) flare upwardly and outwardly from the bottom panel (14) and extend above the cover panels (26) to enhance stackability and prevent shifting of stacked cartons one on top of the other. Several methods of packaging pizza in the folded carton are disclosed.

Abstract: A box, formed by folding from a flat creased cardboard blank of thin and resilient material, is of generally polyhedral shape and has an edge (the closure line) (25) at which two faces (the closure faces) (17, 18) meet separately; pressing the vertices at the ends of that line together (at 26) splays those faces resiliently apart (at 27) along that line to allow access to the interior of the box. Abstract: The invention relates to a smoking article pack (10) and an associated blank each configured to enclose smoking articles having a generally frustoconical shape. The pack (10) is provided with polygonal end faces (20, 22) of differing surface areas and has a body portion (10a) and a lid portion (10b) which, when the lid portion (10b) is in its closed position, define an overal frusto- pyramidal shape. The lid portion (10b) is operable to provide access to the pack (10) proximate the end face (22) having the greater surface area thus maximising the use of the space within the pack (10).
