Packages (10) and structures (50) with selective dosing of active agents are described. The at least one active agent includes a freshness-extension agent to inhibit spoilage of perishable product disposed in the package (10), an odor management agent to reduce, mask, or neutralize odors from garbage or waste disposed in the package (10), a color indicator to indicate the status of one or more other active agents, or another type of agent. Selective dosing is achieved by covering the active agent or agents by a plurality of covers (1310). Some of these covers (1310) may be walls of a package itself.

More specifically, the container includes an odor control ink that contains a plurality of nanoparticles modified with a transition metal. It is believed that the modified nanoparticles are capable of adsorbing malodorous compounds commonly associated with biological fluids (e.g., menses, urine, etc.).

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Umwandeln in und Speichern als verwertbare Energie aus sekundären biologischen Materialien, welches erfindungsgemäß das sekundäre biologische Material zunächst in zumindest einem in zumindest einer Schicht gasdichten Umhüllungsmaterial portionsweise verpackt, transportiert und lagert. Hierbei fördert das Umhüllungsmaterial und/oder ein dem sekundären biologischen Material zugegebener Stoff zumindest eine Gasbildung in der Umhüllung. Ferner betrifft die Erfindung ein Umhüllungsverfahren zum portionsweisen Verschließen von sekundärem biologischem Material in Umhüllungen mit zumindest einer Transportvorrichtung, welche dazu bestimmt ist gemeinsam mit dem ersten Umhüllungsmaterial eine Aufnahmevertiefung auszubilden. Die Erfindung betrifft weiterhin eine Umhüllungsvorrichtung zum portionsweisen Verschließen von sekundärem biologischem Material in einer abgedichteten Umhüllung je Portion mit zumindest einer Befüllöffnung zum Aufnehmen einer Portion des zu verschließenden sekundären biologischen Materials auf einem Umhüllungsmaterial in zumindest einem Aufnahmekörper. The present invention is directed to blended monolayer films and multilayer films having odor barrier properties, methods of making such films, and bags made from such films. Blended monolayer films include blends of non-elastic polyesters and blends of non-elastic polyesters, polyester thermoplastic elastomers, polyolefins, or combinations thereof. Multilayer thermoplastic films include a plurality of layers of film. The plurality of layers of film includes at least one non-elastic polyester layer of film and at least one additional layer of film. The one additional layers of film can be polyester thermoplastic elastomer layers, polyolefin layers, nylon layers, and combinations thereof. Blended monolayer films and multilayer films are a substantial odor barrier for at least 3 days and have a gauge thickness of from about 0.00015 to about 0.01 inches.
