Abstract:
This invention concerns the improvement developed on the hydraulic plate compactor operating inside the framework of motorized waste collectors in general such as: home, industrial and farming waste collectors. The compacting device has a lower semi-dish (1) and an upper semi-dish (2) activated by separate hydraulic systems. The horizontal circular plate (11) is connected to the lower semi-dish (1) thereby forming a platform that loads the waste when the upper semi-dish (2) is drawn back. The lower semi-dish (1) is activated by hydraulic cylinders in series (12) and guided by a central telescopic arm (13). A bearing (14) is connected to the central telescopic arm (13) inside th'3 framework of the vehicle. An upper telescopic arm (21) is fixed onto the central arm (13) through plates (15). This upper telescopic arm (21) is activated through a hydraulic cylinder (22). The framework of the motorized waste collector (3) has a chassis (31), a tilting back door (32) and a loading platform (33). The bearing (14) of the central telescopic arm (13) pivots on an internal base (34) inside the front wall (35) of the framework.
Abstract:
This invention refers to a self-transported or towed equipment whose purpose is to collect, compact, and bag domestic, industrial and farming waste. The equipment is made up of a chassis (1) supporting a closed body (2) that is opened at both ends and has a back cover (4) to close the body and a moveable front compression plate (5). A clasping device of the accordion-like tube encircles the back part of the body (1). A bag sealing mechanism (3), operated by hydraulic cylinders (35, 36) and pliers (31) presses the loaded bag and squeezes it so as to place a sealing band manually. The lower part of the back cover (4) pivots on the chassis through a hydraulic cylinder (41) which is placed at the bottom of the chassis (1) and pulls cables (42) through grooved pulleys (43). The compression plate (5) is operated through a hydraulic system (6) made up of telescopic arms (61) propelled by independent hydraulics cylinders (62).
Abstract:
A lorry (11) is provided with a container (24) associated with compaction apparatus. The compaction apparatus comprises a compaction member (26) and two cables (28, 29), one attached to either side of the compaction member (26). The cables (28, 29) are releasably attachable to lifting arms (14) and pass around pullies (30, 32), which pullies are located at either end of the container (24). The compaction apparatus is used as follows: in order to pick up a skip the lifting arms (14) must be moved rearwardly, in the direction shown by arrow (F); before the rearward movement of the arms (14) is started the cable (28) is attached to the top of the lifting arms (14), when the lifting arms (14) are then moved rearwardly the cable (28), which passes around the pulley (30), pulls the compaction member (26) forward as shown by arrow (G); the forward movement of the compaction member (26) will compact any waste in the container (24) towards the front of the container.
Abstract:
Combination of a waste container (2) and a device (1) for cleaning the waste container, the waste container comprising: - a collecting bin (3) which forms a first receiving space (4); and - at least one flap (6) connected hingedly at an end edge (16) to an end edge (17) of the collecting bin, the device comprising: - first means for moving the waste container relative to the device; - a second receiving space (8); - a third receiving space (9); - second means (10) for displacing waste from the second receiving space to the third receiving space; and - at least one spray head (11) suitable for spraying liquid, wherein the at least one spray head is configured to generate a spray pattern (12) of a form such that no liquid is sprayed through at least one free space between the end edges during spraying of liquid by means of the at least one spray head.
Abstract:
The present document describes a kit for installation in a collection body, comprising a material receiver, for installation between the upper wall and the lower wall of the collection body, a tamping mechanism to allow the translation of materials disposed on the receptor and their discharge in the body, a packing mechanism to push the materials disposed in the body and compacting them.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an apparatus and method of compressing compactable material (18) in a container (10). The apparatus comprising a container (10) with at least one moving ram (14) for moving the compactable material (18) further into the container (10), at least one compacting ram (20) placed to move away from at least one fixed surface for compacting the compactable material. These moving (14) and compacting rams (20) are moved by at least one bellows (12) to which the rams (14, 20) are attached. The rams (14, 20) are designed to operate in a sequence and are controlled by the movement of air into and out from the bellows (12). The air movement to and from the bellows (12) through an air conduit system (22) is generated by an air pump apparatus which function as a compressed air source and sub- atmospheric pressure source (16) and the air pump apparatus is controlled by a control system. The present invention also relates to same apparatus with minor modifications for use in a pneumatic solid waste collection system.
Abstract:
A vehicle (50) for collecting refuse comprising a chassis (51), a body (60) mounted with the chassis for receiving refuse therein, and a packer assembly (170) for moving refuse into the body. The packer assembly includes a platen (187) coupled to a linkage assembly (180) having a first linkage element (181) and a pivotally connected second linkage element (182), and a motor (210) for selectively varying the angular displacement between the first linkage element and the second linkage element.
Abstract:
A motor truck for use in collecting and processing solid waste material such as scrap tires. The truck includes a chassis including a cab (18); a body structure (34) positioned on the chassis behind the cab and defining a storage chamber (35); a shredder (36) mounted on top of the body structure (34) forwardly of the storage chamber (35); a compactor (38) positioned within the body structure (34) beneath the shredder (36) and forwardly of the storage chamber (35); and a conveyor system (40) for conveying tires from a curbside location upwardly for discharge downwardly into the open upper end of the shredder (36). The shredded tires are discharged downwardly into the body structure (34) rearwardly of the compactor (38), whereafter the compactor (38) is actuated to stroke rearwardly and compress the tire shreds into the storage chamber. After the truck has visited a series of retail tire outlets and the storage chamber (35) is full of tire shreds, the truck returns to a recycling center where a door (42) at the rear of the storage chamber is opened and the compactor (38) is utilized as an ejector to eject the tire shreds from the storage chamber (35). At the recycling center the tire shreds are processed to form a rubber crump material and the rubber crump material is combined with scrap plastic to form a rubbber/plastic resin compound in pellet form.
Abstract:
A refuse collection vehicle has a collecting container for refuse (3), placed on the chassis (1) behind the driver's cab (2). When the container (3) is revolvable in an already known way round a vertical axis (7) in relation to the chassis (1), it is possible to empty the container through a flap (6) at the front end, where the driver's cab (2) would otherwise be in the way. By this design the following is achieved: the rear wall of the collecting container for refuse can fit absolutely tightly to the bottom and side walls of the container, although it is possible to lift refuse in e.g. waste bins or waste containers placed at the rear end of the refuse collection vehicle by means of a conventional lifting mechanism to an opening, for example in the top side of the container, and later, after the refuse has been compressed against the front end of the collecting container, and the container has been rotated round the vertical axis in relation to the chassis, to discharge the refuse through a flap, which can be opened, but is otherwise tight-fitting, at the front end of the container in the direction of travel.
